anyway, baada ya Kenya kujenga largest wind firm in Africa, na pia kuwa na largest geothermal energy in Africa... sasa tunatafuta nguvu za jua ...hii inadhihirisha kua tuko mbioni kutumia kila njia kuzalisha umeme ili kupunguza kutegemea mtindo mmoja wa kuzalisha umeme

Location
The power station will be located in Garissa Countyabout 20 kilometres (12 mi), north of the town of Garissa. This is approximately 385 kilometres (239 mi) by road, north-east of Nairobi, the country's capital and largest city.
Overview

The solar farm will sit on 85 hectares (210 acres) and consist of 200,200 solar panels and is expected to be the largest in East and Central Africa. It is expected to create about 1,000 jobs during the construction period. The power from this power station is enough to power about 625,000 homes.
The power station will be owned and operated by Kenya Rural Electrification Authority, a government of Kenya agency. The power generated will be sold to Kenya Power and Lighting for integration into the national grid

Pole sana....

There was no grid connection to Turkana and that's what delayed the launching of the wind project because the land which the transmission line would pass through belong to what is known as "community land" ... But that was resolved and the high voltage transmission line will be completed before june..thats it.

And unlike the wind firm, this plant will be operated by a government agency and not a private firm, the Rural electricity project aim is to connect rural areas so the don't need large costly transmission lines to reach their 600,000 homes within that part of the country

Kosa siyo la mleta mada peke yake, ata mwandishi wa hiyo taarifa amesema ni largest in E.A. Kenya kuna tatizo vitu vingi mki fanya huwaga mnatangaza kwamba ni kikubwa zaidi au cha kipekee E.A. Some times mnaenda mbali mpaka kuchukua vitu vya kipekee kwenye nchi zingine nakuvibatiza viwe vyenu hii saa nyingine ina eza isisifanywe na mamlaka rasmi ila imekua kamchezo endelevu. Very strange...
