A man has kileed 11 people in CHINA after going on an hour long rampage in a tractor.
Driver Li Xianliang had reportedly been drinking when he fell out with a customer at the coal depot where he worked in the northern Hebei province on Sunday afternoon.
The 38-year-old killed the customer and drove off down the streets of Hongyuan, leaving a trail of death and devastation in his wake.
He smashed into two houses, trapping a worker beneath the rubble, before careering away, battering into cars, buses, trucks and roadside shops.
Police were initially unable to stop him but he eventually came to a halt in a field, where officers were able to arrest him.
If convicted, he is now likely to face the death penalty.
Eight people died at the scene while three more died later in hospital, according to a local official.
China has experienced a number of gruesome killings in recent months.
A series of attacks at nurseries and primary schools left 100 dead or wounded.
The victims included children as young as four.
The government opened 550 new mental health clinics and increased security outside primary schools and nurseries in response.
Armed police guards were even used in some places.
