Residents in Wuliya Village are in shock after a chimpaze attacked and killed a three month old baby near Budongo Forest.
The Incident occured on Sarturday when the childs mother together with othet women went ti collect firewood in the forest.
“We suddenly saw four chimpazes approching, we ran but one big Chimpaze grabbed the woman, and in the struggle it over powred her and snactched the baby”Katusiime Said
Local leaders are increasing in the area.
“Chimpazes have become an serious threat because they keep coming to the community. We need intervation such as fencing off forest areas and providing alternative water sources to reduce comtact” Hannington Andama, LC 1 Chairperson
Residents claim that in the past four months, two children under one year have been killed and governmnet should intervene before the issue escalates.
