Charles Kanjama is the new President of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) after winning 3,728 votes in the just-concluded election. Peter Wanyama came in second with 2,616 votes, while Mwaura Kabata finished third with 2,086 votes.
Kanjama now takes over from Faith Odhiambo, who became LSK President on March 1, 2024. His win ushers in a new leadership chapter for the lawyers’ body, with members hopeful that he will promote unity, uphold professional standards, and continue defending the rule of law in Kenya.
