I am not an atheist but I share something in common with them. I don't think all atheists support the evolution theory so it's a wrong perception to see them as the believers of the evolution theory.
Mpaka leo mnashindwa kuelewa..kisichokuwepo kinatjibitishwa vipi?
What is this you share with non theism? Of course all of them do believe in evolution, is like saying I am a Christian but I do not believe in the Holy Spirit!! Utakuwaje Mkristo bila ya Holy Spirit?
For the case of the Judeo Christian/Islamic personal godhead (or any that is omnipotent and omnibenevolent) I shall endeavor to engage anybody publicly if and only if the problem of evil is addressed squarely and logically.
At least then I will know that this person has wrestled with the classic arguments and logic enough to warrant a debate.
Until then, I am logically predisposed to not take seriously any offer of a public debate, as there is no guarantee that it will not be an exercise in futility with a two bit theist who cannot even explain the godhead he/she believes in in a logically consistent way.
Case in point, the present thread seems to link directly atheism with evolution while atheism was a logically sound system thousands of years befire evolution.became fashionable and scientifically acceptable.
Why should I waste my time with such an uninformed person?

Someones Faith is not necessarily a fact, is what someone believes (be it true or not but to him/her is the truth) it does not need to be seen or proved, just believed...., Therefore in my opinion its rather a wastage of time and resources for two people of different faith to argue unless both are of the same faith..
But when it comes to science or facts people can argue and reach an agreement because in every ones argument he will bring out theories /facts based on his/her findings.
Therefore that is why I said the evidence proving theory of evolution is among others....
- universal genetic code
- fossils
- Genetics Commonalities
- Common traits in embryos
- Bacteria resistance to anti biotics
Therefore in a logical and factual way (talking scientifically and not emotionally or using ones faith), someone who says these are not evidence needs to come out and say why these traits don't mean evolution and rather mean something different, after that he/she should say what that something different is.., and how it happens.., after that the all scientific world will take that new theory and discard the available one
The people in here who are against evolution, know nothing about evolution. Bacteria resistence to antibiotics means nothing to them.
Very good question :A S 41:So what are you trying to say here? That the resistance of some bacteria to antibiotics is evidence of evolution in action?
If so, what do they evolve into? Man? Felines? Reptilians?

Pole sana kijana kwa kuendelea kuogopa kujibu maswali. Who started non theism and what is the foundation of same?
It shows adaptation and survival of the fittest, be it the occurrence of the surviving bacteria is through mutation or any other means...

No, I'm serious.
First widen your understanding on the definition of evolution. Evolution is the change in the frequencey of ALLELES in a population.
Help me broaden my understanding, please.
(allele: simply an alternative form of a gene. eg. allele for a blue pupil and allele for a black pupil
gene:simply a segment of the DNA that codes for traits/features/functions. animals are said to be diploid i.e only two alleles for each gene)
Thank you ever so much for this information.
but in the case of the resistant bacterias,
The plural of bacterium is bacteria, not "bacterias".
there are many ways that they become resistant.
Okay, let's explore those many ways.....
wengine wanapunguza uwezekano wa vitu (madawa) kupenetrate through their membranes.
wengine wanapumguza the channels throught which vitu (madawa) huingia.
Okay, kwa hiyo, hiyo ndo evolution? Yaani evolution in action?
wengine wametengeneza enzymes za kudigest penicillin (can you imagine?)(this has been mostly through natural selection)
some change the structures of the antibiotic target site
Okay...still that doesn't show what those bacteria evolve into.....
etc
so what is happening now is simply change in allele frequency (more bacteria are having the gene coding for resistence).
what will happen after they are all antibiotic resistant¿ well lets just hope that we will never run out of new antibiotics
You still haven't answered my questions. So let me ask them again....
So what are you trying to say here? That the resistance of some bacteria to antibiotics is evidence of evolution in action?
If so, what do they evolve into? Man? Felines? Reptilians?
I ask these questions because we are told that we humans descended from apes (not sure from whom/what apes descended from hahahaaaaa)
And if you contend that bacteria resistance is evidence of evolution in action, then they ought to evolve into another functioning system.
as @ KeyserSoze said it will be a long time before they all become resistant. will we evwn survive to see what they evolve in to?
but imagine bacteria wanapunguza permeability za membranes zao. they are developing more rigid membranes. the surrounding play a big role. you never know what the rigid membranes could make them do that now they cant.

LOL asante kwa kurekebisha gramma. umenikumbusha mbali mno...
Yes thats evolution in action.
you missed the point ya mimi kukupa definition hiyo ya evolution. I repeat, the bacteria are now evolving by producing more resistant bacteria. Thats evolution. thats what they evolved into, from non resistant to resistant.
how can we know what they will change in to???? the reason they changed in the first place is because their environment changed.
do we know how the environment will change? do we know if there will be a drug to kill them all?
maybe they will have tripple membranes. (the cell membrane, the cell wall and the new membrane)
your question is not right.
for them to change into a different species alot (in the environment) has to change.
