Defying the World Health Organization (WHO) and refusing to cooperate with global and regional partners in the fight against the Corona virus will cost Tanzania astronomically, the Former Foreign Minister of Tanzania, Bernard Membe has said.

“We will be denied funds, tourism will fall, flights will not come, investors will be told not to come to Tanzania and we could even be sanctioned,” Membe told this publication.

Everyone, he warned, is unhappy with the way Tanzania is fighting the pandemic including the WHO, East African Leaders, SADC Leaders, African Union (AU), the IMF/ World bank, European countries, the United States as well as China.

“It is just a simple matter of understanding that a global crisis such as this one calls for a global solution. Global and regional solutions require solidarity and collective approaches and strategies. We are seen as isolating ourselves, blaming and suspecting even our best friends on earth. We need to work together with the world to mitigate and resolve this pandemic. I am urging the President and Government to do so, we must change and spin with the world!” said Membe.

He urged the country to fully comply with the requirements set by the WHO and follow the advice of experts.

Huyu Membe hana chochote!! Tanzania hakuna tulichokosea!! Tumechukua hatua tena kwa haraka kulingana na mazingira yetu.
Shule zilifungwa siku moja tu baada ya mgonjwa wa kwanza wa korona kupatikana na watu kuelekezwa namna ya kujikinga kwa kuvaa Barakoa na kunawa mikono mara kwa mara na kutokukaribiana na watu. Watu wakaambiwa wasitembee kama si lazima.
Marekani na nchi zingine za ulaya walifunga shule baada ya zaidi ya mwezi mmoja baada ya kupatikana mgonjwa wa kwanza!! Walijiwekea lockdown lakini zimewashinda na wameamua kufungua japo maambukixi mapya yapo kwa mamia na maelfu kila siku!! Hawana ubavu wa kutulazimisha kufanya kile ambacho wao kimewashinda!!
Ni china na korea ya kusini peke yao ndio waliofungua nchi zao baada ya maambukizi ya ndani kuisha!! Siku tatu zilizopita vifo kila siku vilikuwa zaidi ya 2000 kule marekani na maambukizi mapya zaidi ya 10000!! Lakini wameshaanza kuondoa lockdown!!! Hispania wameshaondoa, Italia wameshaondoa japo wote hao vifo ni zaidi ya 200 kila siku na mamia ya maambukizi mapya kila siku!!
Membe aanze kuwaambia Marekani kwanza kuwa watatengwa maana wameanza kuachana na lockdown kabla ya kuushinda ugonjwa!! Vinginevyo watanzania tukatae kumembeka!! Membe hatumembeki ng'o!!!!

Membe was a failure, is a failure, and will always be a failure. Watu mnang'ang'ania kujifungia je mtaweza? au tutaweza? Hebu fikiria mama lishe, muuza ubuyu, muuza nyanya, na wale wote wanaotegemea biashara ndogo kulisha familia zao wakifungiwa watakula wapi? Tunajilinganisha na USA ambayo ina uwezo wa kumpa mlipa kodi mmoja mmoja $1200 (sh 2,700,000) za kujikimu.

Magufuli kalaumiwa, lakini mimi naona kafanikiwa kwa sababu maambukizi na vifo TZ ni vichache saana. TZ imejikita kwenye elimu ya kinga na mimi naona imeleta mafanikio makubwa kuliko jirani yetu Kenya ambapo watu wanauwawa na kuchapwa na polisi eti kupunguza ugonjwa. Tangu lini tukaruhusu kuuwa kuzuia ugonjwa. Mimi naipongeza serkali kwa kutilia mkazo elimu ya kuzuia.

Kuhusu Membe na hili wala hajui lolote. Ombi lake ni corona iongezeke ili ndoto yake itimie. Lakini kumbuka dua la kuku halimpati mwewe. Ataomba na kuswali lakini Corona TZ inapungua na hao anaowasifu inazidi kuongezeka.
