The AU recognises that at least 70% of the African population is made up of young people. 54 years after the creation of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU; known from 2002 as the African Union), how come young people are not fully integrated in the decision-making process of several African countries?
In power and without much regard, old leaders (most of them over 70 years) continue to make decisions that have a lasting impact on the future of young Africans. How can governance and the decision making-process be more youth-inclusive?
We invite you to be part of this exciting discussion on Africa Day that will feature participation from our audiences spread across the continent and the diaspora.
