Your location is the determinant whether you can receive the sat.
I am sure all these birds are receivable in kenya.....i just wanted to know if anyone has received them before....but i will just wait till i get to kenya myself to track them one after the other...i am in south africa at the moment..but will be coming to kenya soonest...............with exception of canal parabole on 16 degrees east that is beamed south east africa all other satellites are receivable in Nigeria so definately it must be receivable in kenya irrespective of your location......
25.5E Eshail 1 is very receivable in Kenya with a 2.4m the only place i have never seen a report is Mombasa. Badr is tricky but in Western,Northern and Rift Valley there are reports. Nairobi i think for good stable signal use a 3.2m pf but a 240cm offset is enough REF. page 1of the forum
Your math is rusted... mjomba was correct 17E+7W=24 but 17E to 7E is 10. Got it? You go from 17 E to zero the add 7 more to west......
You are right Giden...the likes of hotbird on the equator is a challenge as well as 1.2?S on my location....this bird is an ASAS heaven loaded with treats that will make u an indoor entity...during the days of analog thea was a guy in Namibia who got it with a 5M PF perfectly aligned. He also got 19?E for the German channels....during the digital migration he everything bt was getting some transponders a couple of hrs per day....also Mr. Klaus Schumacher in Brazil used an 8M reflector to get the same his location was 26?S. I concluded if you get the same 8M reflector you are in business for the European birds that have the wide beams n the like
Examples Astra 28?E, Hot bird,Astra 19,Eurobird 9?E,Eutelsat 10?E,Eutelsat 16?E,Arabsat 5A 30?E,Turksat 42?E and also some Asian sats like Asia sat 5 100?E
I foresee a challenge in building the 8M BUD 🙂 🙂:-
Could you happen to be near Nairobi? There's a BBUD on Kirinyaga road, Prime Focus type facing East i think they have Asiasat 7 and the likes of Apstar,Measat,Is20 as bonuses. What could be the size? One day i will gather courage and enquire 😀
I have the tp green but no mbcsJust as kassych says waingo, Flysat's 3rd update for 14th Dec states that they're back on Eutelsat 7WA @7W on 11559V27500 5/6
Someone can confirm and update the house...
Bro Tolgos, thank you. I did not know you go from East to zero. What I assumes is that standing at 17E, you make 7 steps Eastwards thus reducing your eastness by 7 negative points thus bringing you to point 10E. Sorry for this. Its long since I did these maths!
Am in kabete....on Kirinyaga rd its a 6metre locked on the c band beam of Asia sat5 n&7 for the Star TV package...the beam comes as far half of Ethiopia thus the BUD of the size...thus needed two ladders joint end to end just to get to the lnb
there are reports that be**n sp**TS will move all their channels from nilesat to 25.5e starting January 01-2016.this could also see the stampede we witnessed om 1 of November when the English channels were moved to es'hail.just incase you need 8ft some guy has them, few remaining though.
I also saw it and decided to visit a hotel in the same building. Waah! I took a cup of tea for over an hour!Could you happen to be near Nairobi? has anyone noticed that IKIDS(TOP MOVIES) changes to Cinemax in the evening? 7w(10873H27500)
there is another one in Ngong racecourse that one could be about 8 meters. I wanted to take a picture of it and almost got myself shot by a GSU man for photographing a security zone.Could you happen to be near Nairobi?
