Seems like the FTA MBCs on the Eutelsat 8West-A are pulling in a disappearing act, similar to the one done earlier on Eutelsat 7West-A !? Last evening I even watched The A-Team on MBC2 at around 11Pm. From today 6Am, the channels have been renamed and there is a banner in Arabic advertising MBC PRO Sports channels!
The only part I can guess on that banner is tune in to 11559. I tried that on both the 7West and 8West Sats but the MBC are absent there! Maybe someone who understands the language can interpret the message for us Time to more the dishes again?

morning guys.I have a question:how do I update my srt 4922 to get satellites which dont show on menu e.g 3.1e,paksat,apstar 7 etc ? is there some software I can download considering I have no wifi accessibility/connection.
Hahaha. My man! You could only grasp the frequency? Anyway Mbc is in the process of rolling out sports channels. They have began test transmissions on 11470 v 27500 which i guess is interfering with the movie channels.

Extra Lessons in FTA:
Recently, my entire 8-LNB set-up went off-air for over one week. All I could get was No-Signal on the SRT-4922. Tried a different decoder but the results were the same! Went up the roof with the WS-6906 Digital Sat-meter and confirmed that all the channels were up-and-running on all the LNBs up to the point of filtering-in into the 8 X 1 Eurostar DiSEqC switch;
I noticed that the 6-month old DiSEqC switch was corroded at the bottom so I replaced it with a new one. Back to the house, the scan results were the same . No Signal !
So who is the culprit here? Lets inspect the 4-year old, cheap, 30 meter Jacobs RG6 cable I have been using since the beginning of FTA world on this multi-LNB setup . Well, since February 2010.
Guess what? You are right. Under that black insulation, the whole 30 meters of cable is charred / burnt / corroded ... and such similar grotesque terminologies. Unbelievable!
I guess, either the cable could not cope with the daily traffic from my demanding set-up; or an alien Bug from outer space found its way through one of the LNBs into the DiSEqC switch and caused a thunderous blast in the circuitry during one of my many blind-scanning escapades / hunting expeditions.
Next step, rushed to one of the trusted shops on Luthuli Avenue, bought a 35 meter genuine Astel RG6 cable and replaced the old cable and Bingo! . .. The system roared back to life! Even the 7East-Europe beam goodies added 2-3% quality level above the former reading!
Life Lesson learnt: Always use genuine RG6 cable and FTA paraphernalia, no matter how much it costs.
You know, that cable carries up to 18 Volts of FTA traffic / electric energy at any one time!
I guess we have to play the waiting game.
