7. Idi Amin (1952-2003)

Between 1971 and 1979, he ruled over a half-million people, killing and torturing them. He died as a result of natural causes.

6. Saddam Hussein (1937-2006)

Several attacks on civilians were sanctioned during his tenure. Over 2 million people died as a result of his policies. He ordered chemical attacks, eye gouging, beatings, and severe electric shocks on the public. He also recorded a lot of tortures and killings on videotape so that he could see them later. Saddam Hussein was convicted guilty of crimes against humanity in 2006 and sentenced to death.

5. Heinrich Himmler (1900-1945)

Himmler had ordered the deaths of 6 million Jews, 2 to 5 million Russians, and a plethora of other groups deemed unworthy of life by the Nazis. Furniture made from the bones and skins of Jewish victims is believed to have been built for him, but this has not been substantiated. He committed suicide and was discovered dead at an undisclosed location.

4. Pol Pot (1925-1998)

The Khmer Rogue, a Cambodian communist organization that orchestrated the massacre, was led by Pol Pot. By demolishing Cambodian civilization, Pol Pot believed he could establish a new dictatorship and usher in a new age. He is probably the first man in history who has ordered mass genocide against his own people. From 1976 to 1979, his actions as Prime Minister resulted in the deaths of approximately 2 million people, or roughly a fourth of the population.

3. Vlad the Impaler (1431-1476/77)

Vlad Dracula was another name for Vlad the Impaler. Because of his sadistic attitude and harsh crimes against the people of Wallachia, where he reigned as prince three times between 1448 and 1462 and killed almost 20% of the population, Dracula was loosely based on Vlad. He stabbed the victim in the buttocks till the stake protruded from the victim's mouth. 'He roasted children, whom he fed to their moms,' according to a German leaflet. He also had women's breasts cut off and forced their husbands to eat them. He impaled them all after that.'

2. Joseph Stalin (1878-1953)

Iosif Vissarionovich Stalin ruled the Soviet Union from 1922 until 1953. When he was younger, he was a thief and assassin. For 30 years, he dominated the Soviet Union with terror and bloodshed. During his reign, almost 1.5 million German women were raped, and he slaughtered over 20 million people with ease. He once observed, "One death is a tragedy; a million deaths is only a statistic." He was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 1945 and 1948.
