According to the BBC, the Gunners are prepared to offer the Lupi £10 million to secure the services of the French international.

Milan and Juventus are also interested in the stopper, who has only made 17 appearances this term.

Arsenal forward Andrey Arshavin has claimed that he is set to sensationally depart the Emirates in the summer and join Barcelona.

The Russian recently claimed that it would be the pinnacle of any player's career to feature for the Catalan giants, prompting his manager Arsene Wenger to express disappointment that the player seemed to want to move.

And Arshavin also claims that Gael Clichy will be joining him in swapping London for Catalonia.

On-loan Manchester City forward Robinho has expressed his hope that he will stay with Brazilian side Santos for the foreseeable future.The 26-year-old moved back to his boyhood club in January, after an unhappy time at Eastlands following his £31 million move from Real Madrid in September 2008 where he frequently cut a frustrated figure.
Due to return to England on August 4, after winning the Sao Paulo state championship (Paulista) with his current club on Sunday, Robinho admitted he hopes to remain with the club for longer than his current deal
"I'm very happy. This is an important title for me that I didn't have before," Robinho told reporters after the win.

Liverpool are looking to sign Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole this summer with the hope that the England international will help the Reds bounce back from a disappointing Premier League season.

Blues owner Roman Abramovich is frustrated with Cole's high salary demands and the Englishman could leave on a free transfer in the summer transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.

Rafael Benitez is looking to bring some more English players to Anfield, already signing Raheem Sterling from Queens Park Rangers and Jonjo Shelvey from Charlton, and Cole could arrive in the summer.

The 28-year-old has not been able to earn a consistent first-team spot from Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti, but still seeks about £6.2million a year in salary.

Experienced attacker Thierry Henry could be on his way out of reigning Spanish champions Barcelona as the club's president, Joan Laporta, has revealed that the French international will be allowed to move on.

Henry joined Barcelona from Arsenal in the summer of 2007, but the 32-year-old has never really been able to reproduce his Arsenal form with the Catalans. He has even lost his spot in the starting XI this term.

"He still has a one-year contract with us, but after a disappointing year I do not know what he will do," Laporta was quoted as saying in an interview with Sport.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been assured by club chief executive David Gill that there will be funds to spend in the transfer market this summer.

Rumours have persisted that United have no cash to use for reinforcements because of the burden of debt with which the club are saddled following the takeover by the Glazer family.

However, Gill insists that the reality of the situation is different - and Ferguson has already signed two players for next season in the shape of Chris Smalling and Javier Hernandez.

"I can look you in the eye and tell you straight that we have the transfer funds available to the manager," Gill told the Manchester United Disabled Supporters Association magazine.

"Targets have been discussed already, but it's not our style to talk about names and it never will be."
