Nairobi blast was terror attack, claims Odinga A blast that wounded dozens in central Nairobi on Monday was a "terrorist" attack, Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga said, contradicting earlier police reports it was caused by an electrical fault. Read more: Nairobi blast was terror attack, claims Odinga - Telegraph Nairobi is starting to suffer economically. Poor Kenyas have been driven into a war they do not want at this time or at any other time. Recently, Kenyans have been killing themselves, thanks to our beloved Presidents Mkapa and Kikwete who took all initiatives to make them seat and talk it over, with those commendable efforts from Tanzanians, the killings stopped and Kenyans could smile again. What a pity to see them now, after a short breather, in war with their blood neighbors the Somalis, though it is trumpeted all over to be believed that they are in war with Al Shabaab, the truth is Al Shabaab or not, they are Somalis first and foremost. Influx of tourists is at its lowest in Nairobi right now, and if things do not change for a while it is heading to worst. My advice to Kenyans is be bold and do not let your politicians lead you into the war you do not want. For a few dollars in their pockets (ruling elites), Kenya will be cursed forever. You have been in tribal wars recently but you have not experienced religious war since the coming of the Portuguese, and then it was not felt in greater Kenya as the war was in Mombasa which was part of Zanzibar then. By interfering in Somalia the war will be felt by each and every Kenyan, it will not chose the area or the tribe. Solution: Declare you are pulling out of Somalia. Remember the US when they interfered into Somalia physically? they took off running after being dragged in the Streets, we do not want to see that happening in the Streets of Nairobi as Nairobi is now part and parcel of Somalis.
zomba and friends, I can see your campaign here to mislead the public. Al-shabaab, FYI is a dying outfit. And if there are any heinous acts of terror attacks on AS's diary, they may be pocket retaliatory attacks. Do not cheat and try to amuse yourself silently and in your dreams. The Kenyan economy is resilient.
..................It is not the first time terror has struck NBI, but the Kenyan economy remains the destination of choice for most investors and tourists.
Tourism in Kenya outpaced Uganda and Tanzania amidst terror advisories from the US/UK. Your are using such ectosymbiotic-instincts to directly market Dar-es-salaam, instead of using the convectional and pragmatic approach to boost your tourism and your economy You, like the international media are forcing people to consume the stale fodder you would feel good for yourselves instead of what is right. Funding for the Kenyan war and mobilization of assets were carefully calculated and planned. It as not a knee-jerk incursion. If it was so, then Kikambala bombings in Malindi could have been the ultimate trigger for OLN. You are misleading the general public. Any country has a right to defend it people from external aggression. Na siyo kukataa vita when it is for a justified cause. Afadhali Tax-payers money zitumike kukinga nchi kutokana ugaidi kulio kupotelea mikononi mwa mafisadi na Akaunti za ulaya. Tanzanians should stop over-propping yourselves, about your past achievements which were self-centered. You are still a long way to go ............both militarily and economically.
