a great lesson for political parties in tanzania not just to put much emphasis to campaigning and lobbying but to have experrts on the rising breach of online technology. The saga will cost chadema if efforts are not put in place to prove the fraudulent film, its in the best interest for the party to seek independent experts to varify the short film if it was genuine.
on the serious note it is high time now that big wigs running political parties and other organisations to have a specific projects and team of experts to fight off siber smear campaigns like the one being upoloaded few weeks ago. it will be absolutly astonishing if the short film would be found fake without implicating some rising stars of the rulling ccm who had mentioned in public that they have seen the same episode way back and not only that they didnt report it to the authorities but also to say that they wernt involved in the making of the horrific smear campaign against a fellow tanzanian. This is not the politics that ordinary people want to see in the future and it is important for the police authority to make sure they get to the bottom of it, and punish accordingly whoever is involved..
Which police authority are talking about? The police force that killed Mwangosi? The police force that has failed to tell us about the torture of Dr. Ulimboka? The police authority we have in Tanzania seems to be working under the pressure of the authority itself not for the public. They will not adquately probe into anything against their bosses, they are there to make sure that whatever is presented is in favour of the bosses.
After all Mwigulu has already declared that he has had a video clip about such scene why not use him to make things clear to the public? We have a similar clip in the You Tube which was claimed to be staged by one of the Sheikhs in Mwanza but we are yet to hear anything about police arrest in connection to the film. What is the secret behind that scene? Why the police force rash to this one of Lwakatare not of that Sheikh which has been in our blogs several Months ago? Answers to these questions might be hard to get but they are suggestive of double standards by police forces while executing their duties.
I am of the opinion that independent experts be used to investigate the clip and tell us whether it is genuine or fake one. Anybody who is knowledgeable in ICT should volunteer to subject the clip under the said program and clarify the matter to us. Since the source of the clip is YOU TUBE, there will be no problem if the results will be communicated to us through the same route
