It is said that your critics are your good friends. Why so? It is because it is your critics who will point out your mistakes, and this will give you an opportunity to fix those mistakes.
However, it takes wisdom to know that when you hold a leadership position you need to have critics in order to know your mistakes. This reminds of a story I read when I was in secondary school. It was a story about animals who wanted to elect a leader. Mr. Pig vied for the position but the animals voted against him because they said “pig is a wise less animal”
But what about the general public? Those who vote. They do not understand the universal fact which says that “the power of the people is greater than the power of those in power”
Tanzanians we have a long way to go.
