The almost predictable looting our our national treasury? The laughable contracts - mining, presidential plane, second hand radar, EPA, ............ the list goes on. Those things don't happen in a democracy.How did Lee come to power? did he invade singapore and overturned the country after waging war against innocent civilians for 4 years? did he also went on to invade a neighbouring country under pretext of going against "genocidaires" while looting its resources? did he have political opposition members beheaded, right before elections? and others shot, dissappear or run into exile? did singaporean journalists get shot too? did singapore's embassies also serve as assasination co-ordinating centers abroad?.....please, kagame and lee kwan are day and night!
I beg to differ. Each country has its unique geography. No one country can be exactly like another. What matters is the determination, inventiveness and purposefulness of its people and leadership. Being landlocked does not necessarily become a development obstacle. Switzerland is landlocked, it is tiny and it has no colonial history but its economy is bigger than that of the combined African continent.I agree but it's geographical position played a great role since is not a landlocked country like Rwanda so the dream of Rwanda to be next Singapore is just utopia
May be for the same reasons that we find it impossible to remove CCM.On changing faces without changing system every 10 years I agree with you 100% something should be done to take CCM out of power but also one person to rule forever like Museveni and Kagame in 21st century is outdated and out of touch, if the system has been changed why Rwanda still rely on one person (Kagame) instead of the system?
War with M23 is another lie you always like to brag about. M23 was just a rag-tag militias full of children, you went after them a combined force of TPDF, Malawians, South Africans and Congolese. Not to mention, Congolese soldiers were all out since this was their war.
Kagame was arm-twisted by UN not to help those kids, otherwise would have been a long drawn war.

I will insist again and again, those who this Rwanda will survive and thrive are dreaming. The country has take a dangerous route, it is only a matter of time before it explodes.
The achievements that we see now are very cosmetic, they do not have strong foundation. First the country is under the rule of man, not rule of law, Once this man is out all will be in mess. Singapore is under the rule of law. Singaporean leadership never antagonized people who looked different from those who are in the government, never championed racialism, never antagonized neighbors, does not kill people who have alternative views. Rwandan authorties are doing all what they can to antagonize neighbors.

Paul kagame is a very good administrator, but he badly lack leadership and management skills. The former requires you to be just nyapara to get things done, the later requires you to study the planet you are living on and planets around it.

Congrats Rwandans keep on struggling as you strive to prosper ultimately Democracy gonna open its doors. To me Kagame is embracing Development which will pay dividends on his leadership. Bongos we must stop Childish envy to our neighbors lets face realities we are damn backward for reasons best known by Ruling Party.
