Uganda Christian University announces the passing of Ms. Pamela Tumwebaze, Director of students Affairs and member of the Uganda Christian University Senior Management.
She was attacked and murdered overnight in a brutal attack at her home in Mukono District.
Hours Earlier, Tumwebaze was seen live on tuesday afternoon preaching at community worship service at the anglican Church of Uganda.
Tumwebaze was struggled by criminals on Tuesday night while she was resting in her bedroom.
Lwatale Sharifa House Helper narrates the events that happened at the night of the murder.
Sharifa Lwatale, the house helper of the deceased Pamela Tumwebaze, recounted the events of that fateful night.
As usual, i opened the gate when her employer returned home around 10:00 p.m. with her two children, then prepared supper for the family, after which everyone retired to their rooms and went to sleep.
“Deep into the night, i was awakened by the sound of someone moving around the house. Soon afterward, she noticed lights switching on throughout the home including in her own room. Moments later, an unknown man approached me and demanded the keys to the gate so he could leave” she said
When she asked who he was, the man replied, “Your boss knows me. Go and ask her who I am.”
She added that the assailant told her to go with him to her boss’s room to talk to her, Unfortunately when they reached the bedroom, the boss was lying and fully covered on the bed as she had already been murdered
Sharifa described the intruder as a man dressed in jeans and stockings. she stated that the killer later fled through the gate after the crime.
“He wore Madam Tumwebaze’s dress, added his jacket with a hood, as he escaped,” she said.
