UBOS Releases Schedule for Publication of Key Survey and Census Reports
The Uganda Bureau of Statistics (UBOS) has announced a release calendar for several completed national surveys and census reports that will be published between March and May 2026.
In a public statement issued in Kampala on March 6, 2026, UBOS said the reports will be disseminated on specific dates to provide stakeholders with updated official statistics to support planning, decision-making and public debate.
According to the schedule, the first report to be released will be the Uganda Malaria Indicator (UMIS) Survey Report 2025 on March 12, 2026. This will be followed by the Orphans and Other Vulnerable Children (OVC) Census Monograph 2024 – Volume 4 on March 19, 2026, and the Multi-Dimensional Poverty Index (MPI) Census Monograph 2024 – Volume 5 on March 26, 2026.
Other reports scheduled for release include the Baseline Education Census (BEC) Report 2025 on April 9, 2026, the Labour Market Survey Report 2025 on April 16, 2026, and the National Human Resource (Manpower) Survey Report 2025 on April 23, 2026.
UBOS will also publish the Uganda Aquaculture Census (UAC) Report 2025 on April 30, 2026, followed by the Uganda Harmonized Indicator (UHIS) Survey Reports covering Wave I and Wave II (2021–2024) and Wave III 2025 on May 7, 2026.
The statistics body stated that all the reports will be made available on its official website on their respective release dates to ensure public access to the information.
UBOS noted that the data will provide high-quality official statistics to support evidence-based planning and policy formulation. The statement was issued by UBOS Executive Director and Chief Statistician Chris N. Mukiza, who encouraged stakeholders to use the reports to guide informed decision-making.
