Court documents allege a mentally challenged 15-year-old girl was gang-raped under her desk during class in Elmont, N.Y., feet away from her teachers. The victim's mother said the girl reported the incident the next day at her school, Martin De Porres Academy, but school officials did not report it to authorities, the New York Daily News reported. The lawsuit alleges the girl, known by the initials K.J. was sexually assaulted for 10 minutes by two teenage boys, as an additional boy "hit her on the head whenever she tried to escape." The Daily News said K.J. was the only girl in her class, and her alleged attackers all lived at a residence for juvenile delinquents. Martin De Porres Executive Director Ed Dana said the school conducted an internal investigation and fired a teacher as a result. "We want the community to know that we hold our teachers to a high standard. Our top priority is the safety and well-being of the children in our care," Dana said in a statement. UPI

This girls welfare was paramount, the school can be sued for including her (a borderline sub'normal child) in a class with these villains. The head teacher knows full well they are juvenile delinquents, so for this reason they need closer monitoring and supervision, They may need two teachers in every class to watch whats going on. The girl was not supervised or protected adequately, end of story, The State should carry out an emergency inspection of this schools standards and teaching methods and results and be prepared to close it down if this type of offense is occurring too often, is routine or ignored by the staff.This girls welfare was paramount, the school can be sued for including her (a borderline sub'normal child) in a class with these villains. Firing the teacher is not sufficient or good enough. Close it down, and let other schools in the district with the same unruly type of pupils know, the State will not look the other way, or be sympathetic in any way to a failing of this magnitude.
