This election is not about Lowassa, It is about us

If you really believe on the principle of collective responsibility, then Magufuli has to take the blame for Kikwete's failures because he worked and continue to work with him 100% of his time. You can't compare Magufuli with Lowassa who worked 20% with the same person.

Hahahaaaaa! Go back to basics! They are seeking fir political power, and do you know the Science of Power Politics!!!!
I asked you whether you know the difference between Power, Leadership, Authority and Influence.

You have to understand what you are posting before you post it. Now you are asking a question which is unnecessary.

I like your spirit and passion for Magufuli.

However, this election is not a referendum on Magufuli BUT a referendum on CCM.

It is really a pity that such a capable leader like Magufuli should be wrapped up in the ills (perceived or real) of CCM, most of which not of his doing.

The general populace today (I may be wrong here. Always a bad thing to generalize about people) have a feeling that CCM bureaucracy is bloated and is not responsive to the needs of the ordinary citizens. There is high pressure that has been building up in the society to see if another party can bring the necessary change (most have no idea what this change will look like. They just want CCM out - period).

The only way people can see whether or not CCM has been doing the right things for more than 50 years is to let someone else (say UKAWA) do it. If they flop, CCM will be back in a heartbeat. Remember, during Mwalimu's rule many people were criticizing his leadership. Today everyone is singing his praise.

I don't want to tell you to stop campaigning for Magufuli however, if he looses it may actually be a blessing in disguise for CCM - Assuming UKAWA doesn't perform. Please keep pushing your candidate, but don't fear defeat.

Only a credible person sticks to collective responsibility, the likes of those still in CCM, period.

Presumably, that may explain why you failed to provide all the answers - Just kidding

Kifyatu

Well said and analysed. I wish I could campaign for Maguful! My point is comparatively about those aspiring for political power (our friend nyero corrects me that it is leadership position!!!!) which of them is credible. Parties let them stand alone, but it is the people in power who makes the difference. If you remember SA rulers used the BIBLE to oppress African, if I am not wrong. I will be convinced if you point out any ideology in CCM's Katiba which is evil!

Well if I understand you, Magufuli is a collectively responsible person. If that is the case, then we, the voters, including you, should punish him and his party for underperformance for the whole decade and replace him and them with a new team.

Don't get me wrong, Sir.

CCM constitution, manifestos, leadership ethics, etc. may look impeccable on paper. The problems lie in their implementation. The system has been corrupted over many years and is failing the people.

Remember the saying:
"Power Corrupts, and Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely". It is this abuse of power that people want to uproot.

Hopefully that 'partial' agreement with me has changed status...I'm glad that you have reconciled your previous doubts for a wider common cause...

With the magnitude of the challenges we face right now, what we need in the State House are not more political tactics....we need more good ideas. We don't need more point-scoring....we need more problem-solving....I'd like to see the existing ruling party turning over the keys to UKAWA.

No, my doubts still remain. However, at this juncture it is no longer productive to dwell on them.

I like goal-oriented struggles. Right now our exchanges are moot.

Jack Daniel's

Mkuu this's where I fail to understand a ccm candidate when they're talking about new this or new that under the same old ccm.
How is someone like Magufuli going to change anything or as you mentioned, how's he going to be any different from Kikwete while he's still fresh from working for Kikwete's administration?!!

And of course they don't have any answers from the old failed promises and that's why they went from maisha bora kwa kila mtanzania to hapa kazi tu.....it's quite a jump, sounds like they missed a step. You'd think they'd start with 'kazi kwanza or hapa kazi tu' and then from there you can get maisha bora kwa kila mtanzania, but they did the opposite and after failing they're going back to start a fresh.....I guess!
Well it's ccm, where everything is going backwards, from maendeleo to fikra.

Kikwete is attending Magufuli's campaigns and he is not providing answers...he told a crowd in Morogoro that 'if you elect Magufuli, I'll have a nice sleep than if you choose someone else'...What Kikwete fail to understand is that in this election people are not trying to make him proud, they want to give him a chance to fix his party....he shouldn't have gone for 'Maisha bora kwa kila mtanzania' because after a decade in office, that statement is not true in the field....

CCM is now spending roughly 40% of their time attacking and insulting UKAWA, 30% making new promises, 20% getting surprised of the problems and challenges facing the country, 10% instilling fear of change or fear of the unknown in people and 0% providing answers for failures..

Kikwete said what?!!,.....oh!, no d' ent!, he really needs to go, before shedding more embarrassment on his party.

So we need to vote for his candidate because he supposedly deserve to sleep like a baby when a common mwananchi is loosing sleep while trying to figure out a school fees for their kids or even a simple meal!,....we should vote ccm back to Ikulu because he deserves a good night sleep while people are stressful and struggling because of his failed policies?!, wow!,...just wow!

Another thing he fails to understand or maybe he forgot is that this's not 2005 when he won a whooping 80% of the vote, and it's not 2010 either!
People are done, ccm is out dated and need to up their game.
What (Kikwete/ccm) need to understand is that, this wave of change, that sea of people at Lowassa's campaigns should be a learning experience for them, they should not take take it as a slap on the face from Lowassa but rather a wake-up call.
They need to regroup, after 50+ yrs of "working" (yea right), they're tired, worn out and need to take some time off!

I hope Ukawa is working their behind off as they can win this thing, because with statements like this from ccm leader, am pretty sure there will be some undecided voters out there.

Can you clarify the following:

BLUE: Do you mean ALL political parties merged into a position?

VIOLET: What specific issues? What past actions?

RED: This is not 2010, it is 2015, a lot of things have changed during the past lustrum, for example now we have Magufuli getting surprised in his campaigns of the problems he, his fellows and Kikwete created or failed to solve within the last 5 years or 10....

ORANGE: What a candidate want or what the people want, which is one do you think is more important?

TEAL: You understand that Lowassa is actually loved by many people more than Magufuli, you don't have to take my word for it, just attend a political rally of both candidates in the same location and you'll get your answer....

kui
Here is my reading....The problem is, Kikwete still think he is popular and influential in Tanzanian politics which is not true...He think he did a great job that people should be proud of and should be behind him, he is failing to read the political situation in TZ....He also think Tanzanians like him than Lowassa and that because of him people will vote for Magufuli, False belief....Remember he once said pictures in Lowassa's rally are fake....

I think now he can see with his eyes open widely how people are tired and want CCM out...He may not show this fact on the outside, but I think deep inside him he knows that time is up for CCM.

Yes I do, and even though campaigners are in different parties, they generally all saying pretty much the same thing and pointing finger at each other. So actually, it isn't that productive.
That is what election campaign is all about, our problems as nations are the same, the ways to go about solving them may be different. These parties are offering different prescriptions, and in doing so they have to explain why they think their team is better than the other teams. Generally, it is not unusual for opposition parties to point fingers at the ruling party for failed policies. But hey, the ruling party has actually failed to deliver for the last decade... The problem is, you kept the pulse on what is up with CCM and haven't devoted a time to understand the rest of the parties...UKAWA said they'll bring back public funds stashed in foreign bank accounts, Sumaye touched on Kinana's illegal ivory dealings, Lowassa argued about the misuse of public funds that subsequently increased our national debt, Kafulila said Kikwete is wholly responsible in the Richmond scandal (by the way Kikwete is keeping a deaf ear and blind eye on Richmond), UKAWA consistently talks about all the famous corruption scandals including Meremeta, NBC privatization, EPA, Radar, Escrow, Giraffes illegal transportation and a lot others plus corruption at local government levels...The only party not talking about CORRUPTION with EXAMPLES but plan to create a special court for it is CCM....Ask yourself this, Is Magufuli having the audacity to send Kikwete, Kinana, Tibaijuka, Ngeleja, Chenge, Muhongo, Mkapa, Mang'ula, Makamba, Mwinyi and HIMSELF and Many Others to that special court? If the answer is YES, he should be voted for, if the answer is NO, he doesn't have anything new. Magufuli is up for a top post, he has worked and implemented the failed policies for a decade, there is no record of him differing with his Boss (Kikwete) with regards to those failed policies....You want us to bury Magufuli's past mistakes and poor decisions that has cost this Nation the taxpayers' money?...You have to understand that both his upsides and downsides are worth examining... I didn't ask whether or not Magufuli is important...Instead I asked 'What he want and What People want' which one is more important?....For instance, In Magufuli's department at least 262 Billion Shillings just disappeared without explanation and you think he is a suitable guy to talk about corruption?

His poor decisions for instance in Apprehending Foreign Fishermen and their products in the International Waters, Handing over state residential houses to his girlfriends, Ordering dismantling of a Petrol Station in Mwanza, Purchasing a fake ferryboat, etc has cost this Nation Billions of Shillings...Lowassa on the other hand acted swiftly to end City Water contract, he said he wanted to act the same way on Richmond but was blocked by President (The president has not publicly denied)... We want someone who saves Public Funds not Waste it unnecessarily....We don't want someone with 'templates', we want someone with priorities
teh teh teh if it's blue and you're saying it's white, I'm saying you're lying.!! Just come out with a figure. Even if you don't actually make it happen, all the people who stand to benefit will vote for the guy who says what the people want to hear.
The issue here is not saying what people want to hear, People have heard enough promises and now it is even difficult for them to continue taking them in.....For example 'Maisha bora kwa kila Mtanzania' hasn't delivered a good and decent life for everyone instead it has delivered even more economic hardships and poverty....

Do you think photos in Lowassa's rallies are photoshoped? When your answer is YES, you have a real real problem.. May be your president was stopping him...refer to Lowassa's argument on ending Richmond contract....Lowassa has since wanted 'Education First' , his Boss wanted to pursue 'Agriculture First'....But hey, at least we know that somewhere along the way Lowassa wasn't seeing eye to eye with Kikwete on some issues....But we don't have such a scenario with Magufuli who has worked with Kikwete 100% of the time in different ministries....You see Kikwete is linked to Simba Trust (Escrow beneficiary) and Ridhiwan is doing Business in the State House (including selling cocaine and Heroine, I wonder how his Dad knew the SUPPLIERS by their NAMES)...Mkapa was doing business at the State House (ANBEN), Mwinyi and his wife were selling Ivory to the Arab countries, Kinana's company is selling Ivory.....So, when we say we want CCM out, we mean mean what we say and that we can't get a good leadership from the Guys in Green....

We do not need an entertainer, we do need a performer in our beloved country.!!! But the big question is and I'm sure ain't alone on this question; WILL LOWASA ACCEPT DEFEAT PEACEFULLY.??? because they just shouting even before 25th October.
We need changes...It is Time for Change...Our thoughts should be above candidacy..we ought to choose a new path for our country....

The political weather has changed, and only obdurate people like you and a few guys in green seem not to be aware....The key question are : If their votes fall short, WILL MAGUFULI, KIKWETE and Their Team accept PEACEFUL TRANSFER OF POWER to the Opposition for the First Time in our History? or WILL we have our Fourth President attending ICC for Crimes against Humanity?
