Precise! It is 55 yrs now that people are waiting for the elected leaders to give them development solution as the same elected leaders keep promising the people to give them development solutions. Why Tanzania will never develop.
Tanzanians and humans in general have one flaw that is very common in their demise. They don’t value the endless possibilities of human freedom. Instead we assume that there are some of us who we can appoint and give endless powers and miraculously they will solve our problems.
In Tanzania especially the ideology that encompasses most people is a collectivist form of thought that is a result of our tribal nature. The consequence of this collective thought is government.
The unfortunate reality is Tanzanians are ready to look forward to a leader as a savior rather than look towards their ability to trade and the rewards that come from being innovative as an alternative solution. Innovation has never ever came from a Government leader.
Government hinders innovation because government involves itself in the free market making regulations and setting taxes that hinder the free market. Most if not all of Tanzania’s problems could’ve been solved by now by innovation in the free market and by international investors.
The property rights for international investors are non-existent and the taxes on international investors and on corporations are ridiculously high. Yet whenever the problem of unemployment of the youth in Tanzania is brought up the government ignores that it is the cause of the problem.
To make matters even worse the youth in Tanzania believe that putting in the right leader whom they think is Magufuli is going to solve the problem. Dear Tanzanian youth if there’s any truth in this world it is that government has no incentive to help you. Politicians don’t care about you no matter how much they claim to do so.
First this so called savior leaves multiple homeless with the bulldozing business without even compensating the victims. Then he meddles with the sugar industry and now we have a sugar shortage.
Then he meddles with international investors and wonders why youth unemployment is at a record high. Why do African politicians not understand that it is their regulations that lead to the same problems that they are trying to solve.
Why Tanzania will never develop.

Hehe!, Kessy wewe, you're giving us a flip side of JPM. Recalling pre election era.
You hit hard where it hurts though, that's totally us. We'll elect someone with hopes that they're going to save us, then we'll sit, relax, watch and wait to see what they're going to do for us. Seems like we're chained and can not free ourselves from this, as we keep circling to the same ideas, same people.
When it comes to our "savior"
Whatever happened to hapa kazi kwanza?!, It is obvious he started at a 100 and there's little we've seen so far from him, including surprise visits and (compliments from all over the universe) but, it's only been 7 months since he took the oath, given the bad shape of our country maybe he need more time to fix it.
At least by now we can see the enormous amount of mess our country is in, and that can not be fixed overnight.
(Am trying to be positive... and give him the benefit of the doubt)
You guys are doing amazing job to propagate whatever narrative/s you are trying to advocate, well done. You wrote "why Tanzania will never develop? " really? That narrative sounds so prejudice. Is Tanzania current state of economy and infrastructure still the same as that of the 1970s or 1980s? Is Tanzania not developing?
"The endless possibilities of human freedom" this is ridiculous! When people of a certain nation willingly adhere to the legitimate political authority of their choice are therefore obliged to abide with the rules and regulations of that political authority. If a particular jurisdiction has rules and regulations how can endless possibilities of human freedom exist? Endless human freedom not just endless possibilities existed long ago during primitive age, state of nature. in a state of nature, anyone does nearly anything irrespective of whether he or she infringes other's basic rights.
"Property rights for international investors are non-existent, and taxes on international investors and multinational corporations are insanely high" any country that is seriously committed to safeguard its sovereignty cannot let her economy be an extension of other state/s.
So much hate freely fly around. Why cant you guys mind your Kenyan issues? Why pretending to be Tanzanians? Are you being paid for these cheap propaganda you are hardly trying to spread? what mess? We Tanzanians are pretty happy with the current leadership and what it does.
Hhahahah this is no hate brother but its a bitter truth that we dont want to swallow. So if you think your happy with what is going on its you and your family never say We !!exclude me please.Something need to be done here and they need to work strategically. So much hate freely fly around. Why cant you guys mind your Kenyan issues? Why pretending to be Tanzanians? Are you being paid for these cheap propaganda you are hardly trying to spread? what mess? We Tanzanians are pretty happy with the current leadership and what it does.
'A BLOODY PESSIMIST'Why Tanzania will never develop.

Its better for us to recognise and understand the efforts of the leaders and the scale of their direct advantage to us, the situation in many of us is worse as we always hope that a good leader will supply for us everything then our lives will become more advanced than ever!!
Devoting most of our time talking of politics forgetting on putting personal efforts to success is among of our common disease in Tanzania,
Leaders are responsible for expanding infrastructures and other environments on which business and other activities will be fairly conducted!!
Wakeup!!!!
Sure dude but yo neglecting the role of the leader if so we should not have national leaders we should lead ourselves.Use opportunity you have.for your benefit.don't murmuring
You made a criticism about the government and politicians. You also seemed to uphold free market to its extreme, discourage taxes on investors and lots of things. It appears to me from the gist of your argument, you are trying to suggest anarchism! Free market and no taxes if possible. Why Tanzania will never develop.

I don't whether such country exists in the world. Government is a necessary institution in an civilized community.
If you don't have regulations for free market, then there is no fairness either. Perhaps you seem to underscore the problems of free market, if it is left to the private individuals alone.
You said Tanzanians view their leaders as saviours, I think this untrue.I am a Tanzanian but I don't consider any of my leader as a savior, in fact there is a good number of people of think as I do. So, I guess you never intended to make such a fallacious premise to back up your conclusion.
You man you seemed to be anti-government.In other words, anarchist, I don't think whether you said any truth to us African youths a part from your point of views which you want to persuade people.
Now, let me go through the contended arguments above, and circumnavigate them to see whether they are water tight and coherent.Whether or not a country as such exists doesn't refūute the validity of the argument against Government. The reality is that Governments are the end product of group-think and tribalism. They innately exist to enforce the mobs preferences over the minority. They are a result of the human nature to rely in the strength in numbers instead of thinking for themselves. The outcome is that the opportunistic humans who have an addiction for power take advantage of this flaw in human nature in order to gain control over the mob or majority.
To claim that civilized societies wont exist without Government is equivalent to what slave owners said about the cotton market and cheap labor not existing if they didn't have slaves. That is assuming that with the challenges that arise from not having a monopoly of power, humans will not find solutions to the problems that were previously solved by the misuse of power. This pattern of thought is the result of Government fabricating a reality in which human beings are dependent on a monopoly of power and are afraid of evils that wouldn't exist if it wasn't for government.
Think of all the problems that we face today as human beings and trace them back to their actual causation and see if they aren't a result of the actions of a Gover8nment. Would terrorism exist if it wasn't for the Western government monopoly of power that has failed centuries ago to kill the movement and that has at the same time played a part in arming and aiding countries that support terrorism.
Think of the African Governments and how their leaders have passed retarded economic policies and have caused war after war after famine after famine and, are regardless of their malpractice, still being rewarded by foreign aid from other Governments.
This is merely a summery but in reality Government leaders are eager to make other men feel small and dependent on the monopoly of power that they are willing to start wars and blame it on currency falls, they are willing to manipulate economies and blame it on the free market, they are willing to create terrorists and then play hero as they bomb civilians in the name of counter-terrorism.
Ask yourself do you need government to shower, shave, eat, keep your house clean, protect your own life, make a living and still support your family. As government played a hand in making any of those things happen. No? then why think you need them in the free market.
Do you understand that regulations are the reason there is unfairness. Do you understand how monopolies are made. The Government regulations make it hard for any competition to start up a company because only the company that has had a stake in a sector can afford to meet the Gov. requirements. This then leads to that company setting its own prices because people have no other choice than to purchase from that company.
Without regulations monopolies wouldn't exist.
I'll assume you have friends. Think for a second does Government make regulations on how you interact with your friends? No? Then you realize that you as a friend in order to make friends and not be ostracized have to meet the standards of those people you interact with. Without even being forced the fear of ostracization leads you to be on your best behavior because in the real world people have multiple options of whom they can be friends with. This is the result of competition. This is also the result of the power of ostracization. Think of a business that people didn't like the product or the prices and therefore decided to ostracize it. That business either died or had to change without even Government telling it what to do. This is because people had other choices of where to get that same product for a better quality with better service and better prices.
