Waziri wa Nchi, Ofisi ya Rais (Kazi Maalum), Prof. Palamagamba Kabudi, amefanya mazungumzo na Naibu Waziri wa Mambo ya Nje wa Canada, Mhe. Robert Oliphant.

Mazungumzo hayo yamefanyika jijini London, Uingereza, pembezoni mwa Mkutano wa 26 wa Mawaziri wa Mambo ya Nje wa Jumuiya ya Madola uliofanyika Machi 8, 2026, ambapo viongozi hao wamejadili namna ya kuimarisha ushirikiano wa kimataifa kati ya Tanzania na Canada pamoja na kuendeleza uhusiano wao ndani ya Jumuiya ya Madola kwa kuzingatia misingi na tunu za jumuiya hiyo katika kukuza ushirikiano na maendeleo ya pamoja.

Viongozi hao wamebainisha kuwa uhusiano kati ya Tanzania na Canada umejengwa juu ya msingi wa urafiki wa kihistoria, ushirikiano wa kiuchumi pamoja na uanachama wao ndani ya Jumuiya ya Madola, hali inayofungua fursa zaidi za kupanua ushirikiano katika nyanja za biashara, uwekezaji na kubadilishana uzoefu katika sekta mbalimbali za maendeleo.

Aidha, viongozi hao wameangazia mchango wa diaspora wa Tanzania na Canada katika kuchochea maendeleo ya kiuchumi na kijamii katika nchi zao. Walieleza kuwa kupitia uhusiano wao ndani ya Jumuiya ya Madola, diaspora imeendelea kuwa kiungo muhimu kinachoimarisha uhusiano wa watu kwa watu na kufungua fursa zaidi za ushirikiano kati ya mataifa hayo mawili.

Katika mazungumzo hayo, Prof. Kabudi aliambatana na Mshauri wa Rais katika Masuala ya Diplomasia, Balozi Lazaro Nyalandu; Balozi wa Tanzania nchini Uingereza, Mhe. Mbelwa Kairuki; pamoja na Mkurugenzi wa Idara ya Ushirikiano wa Kimataifa katika Wizara ya Mambo ya Nje na Ushirikiano wa Afrika Mashariki, Balozi Noel Kaganda.

MORNING DECLARATION

DECLARATIONS:
1. Heavenly Father, I thank You for this new morning and for the grace to walk in Your guidance.

2. I declare that today I trust in the Lord with all my heart and I lean not on my own understanding.

3. Every step I take is ordered and directed by divine wisdom.

4. Confusion, misjudgment, and costly mistakes are removed from my path.

5. The Lord positions me in the right places and aligns me with the right opportunities.

6. My mind is clear, my spirit is alert, and my decisions are sound.

7. This day unfolds with clarity, progress, and visible favor in the name of Jesus Christ.

PROF. PALAMAGAMBA KABUDI MEETS MR ROBERT OLIPHANT THE PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY TO THE MINISTER OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF CANADA

The Minister of State in the President’s Office (Special Duties), Prof. Palamagamba Kabudi, held talks with Hon. Robert Oliphant, the Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada.

The meeting took place in London, United Kingdom, on the sidelines of the 26th Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers’ Meeting, held on March 8, 2026.

During their discussions, the leaders explored ways to strengthen international cooperation between Tanzania and Canada and to further enhance their relations within the Commonwealth, guided by the organization’s principles and values aimed at promoting cooperation and shared development.

The leaders noted that the relationship between Tanzania and Canada is built on a long-standing historical friendship, economic cooperation, and their shared membership in the Commonwealth.

This partnership continues to create opportunities for expanding collaboration in areas such as trade, investment, and the exchange of expertise across various development sectors.

They also highlighted the contribution of the Tanzanian and Canadian diaspora in promoting economic and social development in their respective countries. Through their Commonwealth ties, the diaspora has remained an important bridge in strengthening people-to-people relations and opening further opportunities for cooperation between the two nations.

During the meeting, Prof. Kabudi was accompanied by Presidential advisor on Diplomatic Affairs, Amb. Lazaro Nyalandu; Tanzania’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Hon. Mbelwa Kairuki; and the Director of the Department of Multilateral Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation, Amb. Noel Kaganda
