When most people think of Saudi Arabia, they picture a powerful oil driven economy laced with lavish royalty. Something often overlooked, however, is the large and ever growing poverty level within the kingdom.

If ever there was a textbook failure of "Trickle down economics" it is Saudi Arabia. That even in an homogeneous society were money flows like manna from heaven or is it oil from earth, the division of labor is precluded by a diversion of wealth.
