Poor performance of English subjects (STD 7) RESULTS

After relese of NECTA RESULTS of standard 7, English subject found to be one among subject where pupils perform poor with 29.39% compared to other subjects, we need to think big what the reason behind of massive failure in our country (Tanzania) especially in English subject

Hapa hakuna mambo ya think big kwa sababu lugha ya KIINGEREZA sio lugha yetu mama. Tunaisoma na kujifunza tu kwa sababu za kimaisha.

Ni lugha ya hovyo sana hata ma- professor hasa wale ambao hawajabobea kwenye Linguistics kuna vitu hawawezi kuvijua vyote kwa usahihi, ndio maana hata wewe wenyewe ulivyo andika tu hapa wataalamu watakuambia ENGLISH yako sio grammatical ila semantically iko poa tu.

Kwa hiyo tusiwashangae wanafunzi.

You have the eyes but you can't see what's the point of performing well in a foreign language while education is passed on foreign language instead of Swahili. Ukienda china, Urusi,Ukraine, Sweden, Norway, Holland etc kote hutumia lugha za kwenye elimu na sio kingereza

English is not our language you sure about that but the problem is that English language has become the core language in every sphere of life wether you want it or not

One day i would like to have general public debate concerning this problem, public must themselves decide which is mutual language should be used in our educational system since early childhood up to university level

English isn't our first language, it is like additional language to us and most of teachers who are teaching this subject(English) are not competent, so how do you expect our pupils to perform well in this subject?

Nakubaliana nawew 200% maana hata wewe mwenyewe kinakupiga chenga. Mfano unasema it's like additional language badala ya it's like an additional language. Unasema most of teachers badala ya most of the teachers/ungesema tu many teachers lakini ukishatumia neno "most of" lazima ufuate sheria (grammar). Pia unasema so how do you expect badala ya what do you expect. Lugha hii ni balaa hakuna mwenye kujivuna eti ni mkamilifu. Hapa maprofesa linapokuja suala la grammar au syntax wengine wanabaki km gumbaru tu. Muhimu semantics ndiyo ya kuzingatia. Poleni wote tunaoteswa na lugha hii, kwa kweli haifai.

Kingereza ni lugha TU kama Kinyarwanda na kimakonde. Tatizo Kwa Afrika ni kuendelea kukubali kukuza Lugha za wageni badala ya lugha zao kama Kiswahili. Kiswahili kilitakiwa kitumike Afrika nzima na watanzania wapate nafasi za kwenda kufundisha .
Waingereza wanatumia pesa nyingi sana kulaghai nchi nyingi ili Kingereza kibaki kama lugha ya kufundishia kwenye nchi nyingi hasa za Afrika .

Siku Waafrika watakapoachana na lugha za Wakoloni na kutumia lugha yao basi wazungu watakua Afrika kuokota hata maganda ya ndizi kama Ngedere.

Wazungu Kwa Sasa hawawezi kuishi bila Kutegemea unyonyaji wanaofanya Afrika.

Tatizo ni umasikini wetu ndio maana tunashindwa kuwakimbia. Mfano, ukikimbia lugha yao utakutana nao kwenye misaada Yao. Hapo utawaomba kwa lugha gani. Ukimbia misaada Yao unakutana nao kwenye vyombo vyao vya umeme, madawa, nk. Hivyo vyote wameweka in English. Ukikwepa huko unakutana nao kwenye utalii, hapo utaongea nni km kizungu hakipandi. Ukikwepa kote huko unakutana nao kwenye mafunzo ya kijeshi na siraa zao zote vifaa vyake ni in English. Ukweli ni kuwa kwa English language ni sawa na maji, usipoyaoga utayanywa tu no way out.
