Job Title: Pharmacists (10 positions)
Duty Station: Pharmacy Council Zonal Offices (Mwanza (02), Arusha (02), Dodoma (02) and Dar es Salaam (04)

Reports to:
Head of Specific Zone Office

Duties and Responsibilities
  • To receive, scrutinize and submit to head of zone office all applications for registration, enrolment and enlisting of Pharmacists, Pharmaceutical Technicians and Pharmaceutical Dispensers respectively and renewal of business permit of pharmacies;
  • To receive, scrutinize and submit to head of zonal office all applications for approval of pharmacy training institution;
  • To conduct inspection of premises, internship centres and Pharmacy Training Institutions;
  • To conduct inspection in public and private health facilities including intern centres;
  • To keep and update registers for all personnel and premises registered under the Act;
  • To assist other professionals on matters related to pharmacy practice;
  • To prepare monthly and quarterly progressive reports;
  • To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Holder of Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution and must be registered by the Pharmacy Council of Tanzania;
  • Must have a valid license to practice;
  • Have experience of minimum two (02) years in performing some of the above duties or responsibilities; and
  • Conversant in computer applications especially word and excel.
Remuneration
Renumeration package in accordance to Pharmacy Council’s Salary Scale.
General Conditions
  • All applicants must be Citizens of Tanzania of less than 45 years of age;
  • Applicants must attach certified copies of: - Degree /Diploma Certificates; Form IV and/or Form VI Certificates; Professional registration certificate and licence to practice; and Birth certificate/Affidavit; Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  • An applicant should indicate three (03) reputable referees with their contacts;
  • Deadline for application is 7th June, 2023 at 15:30 Hours
  • Duration of employment shall be a one-year contract;

did anyone here actually go through the application and interview process recently? I’d love to know what kind of interview questions they ask or what documents took the longest to sort out. It’d really help those of us still trying to find the best way to approach this.
 
well, I remember now that I went through the same process last year and what helped was regularly checking their website and calling the office for updates.

They can be really slow with responses. For anyone dealing with pain while working long shifts in the pharmacy, I found it useful once to buy co codamol 30/500 online after being recommended it by a colleague, it helped me manage better during those hectic days.
