OPEN LETTER TO INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITIES.
Dear good friends of our country, human rights defenders, activists and all those who have good will towards us,
My names is Revocatus James Ng'oja, On behalf of human rights activists and Human rights defenders in the country,We are writing to inform the international community that former Tanzanian ambassador to Cuba and outspoken government critic Humphrey Polepole has been abducted by unknown assailants today 6th of Ocktober,2025 at his residence in Dar es Salaam.
According to a statement from his family and his relatives ,the abduction occurred in the early hours of today in dar es salaam.
The family stated they are currently unaware of his whereabouts or condition.
Polepole, is a former Member of Parliament from the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party and he has recently gained prominence for his critical remarks toward the government.
However, we would like the international community to know that every day in this country the situation becomes worse as people are being kidnapped and receiving threatening messages and phone calls, among them being members of Chadema and activists, especially those who criticize the government of President Samia Suluhu Hassan.
We call on the international community, especially activists and human rights defenders, to raise their voices in unity to inform the world about this matter.
