New study reaffirms Kenya's leadership in mobile money and technologies

A study released by Lagos based tech research firm Twinpeaks has reaffirmed Kenyan leadership in mobile technologies and their adoption. Points to note :
1. Mobile Penetration >98%
2. Mobile money adoption :93%
3. Growth of online shopping :e commerce. 42%
4. Volume of mobile money transactions June 2016 : 270 bn shs(appr 2.7 bn$)
5. Cheaper data rates.
6. Market leaders.
Fun fact: Mpesa processed more than western union in 2011 to be the world's leading money transfer firm.
