TRADE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

The incumbent will be based in Mwanza, Tanzania.

Main Purpose of the Role
Lead and manage the achievement of sales targets for profitable growth through customer service and optimal resource utilization. Among others, key accountabilities will include-
· Lead and manage the implementation of the area sales strategy in respective territories.
· Preparing and Managing a demand driven sales forecast and other resource requirement for the area including budgets.

  • Monitoring, analysing and reporting of sales performances and taking appropriate action.
· Lead and Manage collection of sales proceeds in line with approved terms of trade.
· Identifying and developing trade opportunities to deliver increased volumes and market share.

  • Lead, Monitor and research area market trends analysis for appropriate decision making and actions.
  • Managing customer supply chain interface including third party.
  • Managing financial and other resources including company assets within company policy and guidelines.
  • Implementation of brand building and marketing activities.
  • Determining and coordinating of area reporting and communication requirements.
  • Developing, training, motivating and evaluating area and dealers’ staff to achieve highest levels of performance.
  • Indentifying, implementing and benchmarking best practice in customer management.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
· Bachelors’ Degree in a Business/ Marketing related field. · At least 3 years comparable experience in managing a business unit in the FMCG industry. · High customer orientation. · Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Lake Zone market. · A team player with excellent communication skills, negotiation skills, attention to detail, problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills.
· High standards of ethics and values.
· Clean Driving License.






TRADE DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE
The incumbent will be based in Mwanza, Tanzania.

Main Purpose of the Role
Implementing sales and customer service plans to deliver area targets and provide information on market trends. Among others, key accountabilities will include-
· Planning and delivering daily, weekly and monthly sales targets.
· Coordinating collection of sales proceeds within the approved terms of trade.
· Managing route plans and customer calls by ensuring market coverage within plan.
· Training, motivating and evaluating dealers’ staff to achieve highest levels of performance.
· Coordinating, implementation of merchandising and promotional activities.

  • Collecting and collating market activities and other market trends.
  • Ensuring delivery of superior customer service.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
· Bachelors’ Degree in a Business/ Marketing related field · At least 2 years comparable experience in the FMCG industry · High customer orientation · Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Lake Zone market. · A team player with excellent communication skills, negotiation skills, attention to detail, problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills.
