My Verdict: Kenya has passed its most darkest hour as a nation; they have passed with flying colors! The people were given every reason to start "something" but they refused the temptation to resort to violence or boycotting of the results. The "peace" campaign that ran over several months has finally paid of. The people of Kenya are not building a nation/ a people. Yes they are divided along tribal lines but this time those lines though pronounced but were not as strong as people feared. The sentiment of 'nationhood' has prevailed, remarkably and forcefully! No party, no leader, no grudges, no fear became stronger than the feeling of what was at stake - the gains that the nation has made over these past years. The greatest challenge though is the reaction of Raila - will he prove to be a statesman that he is and concede defeat after all tallies are in? Is he going to challenge in court? Unless there is a runoff, if Uhuru wins, Raila should and must concede humbly and honorably...

Who owns Kenya's land?
Thats the issue ..... presence of peace doesn't characterize liberty, but presence of justice.
While I want to agree with you I respectfully disagree on the highlighted part. Everyone in Kenya and I mean
everyone...has the right to due process. So if Raila feels aggrieved and he has evidence to proof any wrong
doing in this election, then he has every right to go to court rather than 'humbly and honorably conceed'.
Thats why his supporters love him....coz he always stands for what is right and on the side of justice.
Let posterity judge him if he was a statesman or not but to fight for justice and to stand against impunity
he must. That is the calling for which he was ordained for.
I humbly state my opinion.

The way I see it is that.. blame the ICC... and the US... the Kikuyu came to defend one of their own...i think if Raila had been indicted by the ICC there would have been enough sympathetic votes...

Huu uchaguzi hauwezi kuitwa free and fair
kuna a lot needs to be addressed
sure especially tume inapoahidi matokeo ndani ya 24hrs then wanapata vigugumizi visivyokwisha inatia shaka sana,
kuendelea kuchelewesha matokeo ni kuzidi kuiweka amani ya wakennya matatani
