Mwanamke mmoja anashikiliwa kwa kosa la kumbeba ktk begi la nguo kijana(19) raia wa Gabon, kwa lengo la kumuingiza nchini Hispania.

Kwa mujibu wa taarifa ya Jeshi la Polisi inasema kuwa kijana huyo alikimbizwa Hospitali kupatiwa matibabu baada ya kukaa muda mrefu katika begi hilo.

(CNN)A young woman has been caught trying to smuggle a teenage African migrant hidden in her suitcase into Spanish territory.

Authorities stopped the 22-year-old woman last week at a border crossing into Ceuta, one of two Spanish enclaves in North Africa, from neighboring Morocco.

A 19-year-old migrant from Gabon was found concealed inside. The man was immediately offered medical attention due to the lack of oxygen inside the compact travel bag, Spain's Civil Guard said in a statement.

Border control had become suspicious of the woman after they noticed she was carrying her luggage on top of a trolley, authorities added.

Spanish officials said the woman showed an "evasive attitude while going through the established controls and nervousness" while speaking to agents.

Ceuta, along with the province of Melilla to the east, are Europe's only land borders in Africa. Both enclaves have long been popular transit points for hundreds of sub-Saharan African migrants trying to cross the sea at the narrow point south of Spain.

As much as there is a truth that some of African immigrants who dare risk their life in crossing the Mediterranean sea to Europe are political refugees but majority are also green pastures seekers but without any professional privileges or vocational training for suitable works.
Their aim is just to be in Europe first and the rest would take care of themselves once you are there. It is also true that by European standards most of Africans' country are economically marginalized and poor. Yet the likely problem with us Africans is to seek for ready made economies. Historical statistics show that countries like Malaysia, Vietnam and the Giate China, in early 1960's though 1970's , their economies were in the same level like of Tanzania , Ghana and less than of Kenya just to give a few examples. Why then today China is in another world leaving behind by far African countries in sphere of economy. The answer is crystal clear that Chines are hard working people while Africans we are leisure fare people. We had therefore to sneek from our poor and poverty stricken countries to go and try to enjoy the sweat of others.
In most cases the runaways ends to be loiterers and drug pushers. It is high time we change our mindsets and start thinking outside the boxes. Why they managed and not us?
