If this is the reason, then your goverment (has for a very long time) blocked an important trade and prevented you from the pleasures of miraa. It brings in loads of cash and its a good drug for relaxing, unlike alchohol and the rest.

May be it's true.
But scientifically, anything that makes your body to work more than normal capability, has a long term effect. Simply you becomes dependent. e.g viagra, if you r used of it, u will never perform without it. I think JF members belonging to medical tasnia will give us clue.

I have once tried to find miraa in dar bt i couldnt succeeded bse of the hidden sales network that might also double cross you and expose you to police for hongo. Mrema was once a minister of home affairs when he call for arrest of miraa chewers and since then police and tanzanian atlarge consider miraa as drugs which i strongly disagree.
