Replaces 8-4-4 system with 2-6-3-3-3 system. The child will take 2 years in pre school 6 in primary 3 in junior secondary 3 in senior secondary and a minimum of 3 in university. Under new system kenya will have four different types of secondary schools namely:
1. General

2. Technical

3. Talent

4. Vocational education

Talent schools will offer courses in performing and creative arts such as music,drama,and games besides common courses.

Vocational secondary schools will focus on artisan and trade courses in addition to common courses.

To implement the new system the goverment will have to hire additional 21,728 secondary school teachers and 30,637 primary school teachers. New changes will begin september 2013 and targets those currently in starndard 4.

akili ya kiafrika ni kuendelea kutawaliwa,hii inaonyesha ni jinsi gani tusivyokuwa na uhuru wa kimawazo..bado ni watumwa wakubwa,kila kitu kama UK au US!!aaagrrrrhhhhh!
