Three people, including prominent Masaka businessman Bosco Senyonjo, have died following a tragic road crash along the Mpala section of the Kampala Entebbe Expressway earlier today.

According to preliminary reports, the accident involved a single vehicle that was traveling from Masaka towards Entebbe International Airport when the driver allegedly dozed off due to fatigue after a long distance journey.
Authorities say the vehicle lost control and crashed, leading to the deaths of three occupants on the spot. The deceased have been identified as Senyonjo and his two children. Reports indicate that the family was heading to the airport to catch a flight to the United States at the time of the accident.

One other occupant survived the crash but sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Emergency responders from the expressway’s Incident Response team quickly arrived at the scene and worked closely with police officers to secure the area and manage traffic along the busy highway as investigations into the crash commenced.

Investigations into the exact circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.
