Makahaba wamkimbia sirro wakamatwa tena - Over 50 Commercial Sex Workers From Tanzania Arrested

Over fifty Majengo commercial sex workers that were arrested last weekend have been arraigned at city hall and Makadara law courts today.

The Tanzania citizens without passports were taken to Makadara law courts and charged with being in the country illegally while those that were taken to City hall were charged with engaging in illegal sex business in the city.

According to Daniel Orande of Kituo cha sheria the group have protested the move saying some have been in the Shauri Moyo police Cell from Friday without taking their usual ARV drugs.

They have now vowed to take legal action against the area OCS for mistreating them on a business that has been before the independence.

The group was arrested on Friday night following the death of a man who is suspected to be one of their clients.
