...decades later, Uganda is still celebrating Liberation Day—but the arguments have changed.

Some say liberation gave them stability. Others ask why, after all these years, the same surnames keep passing the “exams” of power with distinction, while millions of other children keep repeating the same class called hope.

Was Liberation about freeing a country—or securing a destiny?

Did God answer one boy’s prayer, or did the system make sure it could never fail?
