Lamu substation at dusk
This substation is part of the 328.5km 220kV Rabai - Malindi - Garsen - Lamu project that displaced the costly diesel power plants in Lamu and Mpeketoni as well as reduced power losses between Kilifi and Malindi. In addition, this project will also supply power to the planned Lamu port and the LAPSSET Corridor Development Authority.

Am satisfied that Kenya is moving in the very right direction. We will feel the heat just like turbulence when plane takes of, due to heavy investments but in three years, we will literally leap in front of Nigeria which instead of infrastructure, choose to built a city, Eko Atlantic
