Authorities in Kyotera District are concerned that a pupil with a disability at Goodwill Junior School in Mutukula Town Council may sit her examinations without the assistance she needs.

The pupil requires a transcriber to help her during the examinations, but efforts to secure the support have reportedly gone unanswered.

Kyotera District Inspector of Schools Mathias Kigoye said they had contacted the relevant authorities and reminded Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) officials last Friday, but had not received a response.

Kigoye warned that sitting the examinations without a transcriber could put the pupil at a disadvantage and affect her future.
