NYERI bomb-scare: Police in Nyeri today afternoon arrested a suspected suicide bomber near Dedan Kimathi University of Technology main campus.
County Commissioner Fredrick Shisia said the suspect, a student at Nyeri National Polytechnic, had strapped unidentified gadgets around his stomach, waist and chest.
Suspect denied being a terrorist, described the items as muscle-tonners. The gadgets were dismantled by bomb experts and suspect handed over to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Anti-Terror Police Unit (ATPU) for further questioning.
