Mkuu Kilitime
Kibaki kachanganyikiwa nimeona hizo breaking news.
Waswahili tunamsemo usemao,,,
"UKIONA NDUGU WANAGOMBANA CHUKUA JEMBE UKALIME"
Sasa hili lisijekutuletea matatizo sisi wa Bongo!!!
KUNA TOFAUTI KATI YA NDUGU NA VYAMA. MISEMO MENGINE INATUMIWA VIBAYA JAMANI.
Kenya Opposition Seeks New VoteBreaking News za shirika gani na zinahusu nini?
Let me be plain with you. I'm Kenyan. Call me Kikuyu if you want, I didn't have a choice in that. I had a choice in being a Christian and I made that choice willingly, consciously.
I've made a decision on the chaos that has been (hope-speak that its gone).
Am not speaking ill of any Kenyan from whatever tribe. I know these people; some are my extremely very good friends -they call me brother and I call them sister/brother. I've been to school with them, church, work, etc.
I will not allow thoughts of animosity or illegal retaliation to creep into my mind. The temptation is there -but am only human -I have the capability to decide what to think, say and do.
I will not fall into the trap of hate.
Dear fellow Kenyans, We can keep the peace. We can be our brothers keepers.
Amani Kenya.
BRgds,
Wandetto.
P.S. Yes. I went to the polls -and voted my heart out.
You are very right. And I must add my voice onto this; we do not need to kill each other in pursuit of our rights.
But in so doing, we must not also bury our heads in the sand in the hope that all is well. All is not well.
When we identify the problem, we must fix it. Only then will all be well.
In pursuing peace, we must retrace our steps and find out where it started raining on us. We will all agree that we were called out to make our democratic choice on 27th Dec 2007. And we all did it peacefully.
Kenyans of all walks of life queued peacefully and voted for a president of their choice. A few people voted for Kalonzo Musyoka. A few more voted for Mwai Kibaki. Then an overwhelming majority voted for Raila Odinga.
Kenyans from six out of eight provinces overwhelmingly voted for Raila to be our president. A good number from Central and Eastern Provinces also voted for Raila. So how come this is not reflected in the national tally?
Instead of the incumbent accepting the verdict of the people, he started manipulating figures to his advantage. They forced Samuel Kivuitu to read results that they in PNU and ODM-K wanted. And they ignored the wish of the people.
They then hurriedly convened at State House to swear in Kibaki, even without honouring our National Anthem.
Later, Kivuitu himself cast aspersions on the results. He even says that as late as yesterday, government functionaries were busy at KICC fixing Form 16 and 16A. This basically negates any other call for fresh tallying.
The people had to react the way they did, and I support them, not in the killing process, but in the democratic agitation process. The will of the people ought to be respected. And this is why I was teargassed yesterday at Yaya Centre and again at Serena Hotel.
As we call for more agitations, I will be teargassed as often as it will take, to ensure that the state recognizes the will of the people.
This kind of behaviour makes some of us start thinking that there is something so serious these guys have done to our country that they cannot let someone else get to power.
They must hence protect this by calling the police out to reinforce their palace coup.
This is unacceptable to Kenyans, and we will do all that we can to have this thing fixed. The resolve of the people cannot be played with.
Lastly, we must all call on the police to respect the will of the people. In all democracies and autocracies, the police have never won against the will of the people.
Kenyans
Peace can only be where there is respect for the rule of law. Peace can only be where it starts with the president. Just like Kibaki said in 2002 that the fight against corruption starts with the president and the respect for the law is also starting with the top.
Kibaki must respect the rule of the law. The rule of the law demands that you sue if you are wronged. You don't slap. The rule of the law demands that you report the media to the correct authority if it goes against the law. you don't ban it. The rule of the law demands freedom to associate and air your views. Not rule by the police.
Kibaki must respect the rule of the law. If Kibaki cant respect the rule of the law then please Kenyans dont we have patriotice brothers to arrest this man immediately or if he cant be arrested then he must be assassinated forthwith.
Alai
Alai, I think you are bitter, VERY BITTER. But what we need now is reconciliation. Killing Kibaki is not the solution, we would now go the Rwanda way if he were to be assassinated. Just listen to yourself. I voted for him, I am very annoyed with him, However, none of them thinks of the common Kenyan. They are safe in their secure houses, bullet proof cars while Kenyans are dying. Both fo them are hard, remorseless and unfeeling. Kenya does not deserve any of them. Guys lets pray for this nation. Those who are called to prayer, please fast and pray. What we need now is reconciliation and healing, it can only begin if the two put their grievances aside and think of the Kenyan people, other that their greed for power. Lets stop sending the hate messages, they will not help solve the problem. Lets not think tribal but as Kenyans, lets live as brothers. Our national Anthem is a prayer, Lets embrace it.
Again I say PLEASE PRAY FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY that we love.
Bless you,
Jean
Hi Guys,
Right as you may all be in your opinions, the messages you are passing are of hatred to some extent.
Your suggestions as they may be good and all other negative ways to help improve justice is realy not the way to go.
You cant possibly tell us to have peace and on one end assasinate someone.
Lets find a middle ground.
Faith,
we urged the wananchi to be peaceful during the elections and they complied. We also promised them fair election process and results, but did not follow on our promise. In other words, the wananchi aregemnerally a peaceful people until you crush their democratic rights and dreams. What you see on the ground is what has happened previously even in western democracies where the wananchi's votes and democracic rights have been stolen. The violence is perpetuated by the government forces that are crushing wananchi who are requesting their wish to be heard.
Kibaki had and still has at the moment the magic key to stop these chaos in the country by doing the right thing to restore peace and democracy -- that key is called respecting democracy and the will of the people by stepping down.
JM.
My fellow Kenyans i believe all of us witnessed what happened in 2002 when the power was taken from the very dictator by the name Moi and handed over on a silver plate to the said kibaki who is now doing what the whole world has regarded as day light robbery by not respecting what kenyans had decided surely do we really remember the past and where were the following people who are now loud Mr Mutua,Michuki,Mungatana kiunjuri and among others who think they are well placed and can now plung kenya into chaos.
My fellow innocent Kenyans please MARK the following words the same medicine that Kibaki is giving Kenyans is what he will be given its just a matter of time it doesnt matter how long it will take he might act as Goliath but remember even Goliath was brought down by only one stone. We all know Raila made him a king and we can now see KING MAKERS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO BE KINGS INFRONT OF KIBAKI SHAME ON HIM...
DEAR ODINGA,
Fight for your right, but remember all your pledges that you have describe when you seecced. You where promise in 2002 by Kibaki then he never happen to work it out by then that was why you start your own party regardless of ministerial post. To all Kenyan you must admit the fact that when you invited a devil to your house the death and agony would never be absent.
Perhaps I personaly been recognising Raila his right despite the fact that some of you might assume that because he is our black immigrant. In real senses Raila kept his hand out of coruption and crying for the right of vulneerable Kenyans' precisely that is why many of common Kenyans are lobbying of Raila. Take heart and stand firm since 80% of Keanyans women and men are standing with you.
May I continue???
Hi All,
What we have witnessed is very demorolizing for Kenya as a country and democracy in Kenya/Africa. What matters when one falls is not whether he gets up but the dust that he picks when he /she gets up and those are the lessons learnt" we have just seen the ruin that the old guard has brought to our country i'd urge all of us not to give up voting next time we have the opportunity but to vote out all the old generation of leaders that still promote tribalism, the ones that divided our country and shattered democracy/peace that we enjoyed.
We need to heal the wounds that have been created and not to listen to the leaders that will further divide this country. Some of them seem not to realize the damage being done, I just cant imagine Alfred Mutua saying that "they cant share power with losers" meaning that power is more important than peace. We really need to get up and start preaching peace not war.
Please kepp praying for peace especially in Eldoret, vehicles still cant go through Eldoret some of us are still locked up in Kitale and other parts of western Kenya

Kibaki and Tutu back dialogue
Story by PPS
Publication Date: 1/4/2008
President Kibaki and South Africa's Archbishop Desmond Tutu today called for an end to the post election violence in the country saying leaders from across the political divide must give dialogue a chance.
President Kibaki assured Archbishop Tutu that he was committed to political dialogue with members of other political parties.
At a meeting held at State House Nairobi today, the President Kibaki and Archbishop Tutu noted that there was urgent need to find a solution to the politically instigated violence. The two underlined the sanctity of human life noting that political protests must never be an excuse for killing innocent people.
They called on political leaders in the country to stop their supporters from engaging in violent acts, saying it was imperative that all Kenyans involve themselves in peace overtures so as to quickly restore sanity to the country.
President Kibaki reiterated that he was ready and willing to begin consultations and reach out to political party leaders to find solutions to contentious issues. He asked all leaders to cooperate, saying they must be seen to provide positive leadership at this challenging time in the history of the country.
President Kibaki said it was the responsibility of the Government to first secure the country and ensure peace in order to allow for structured dialogue. He once again condemned the acts of violence saying it was despicable for some leaders to incite their people to burn a church where children and women were seeking refuge.
Emphasising that sanity must prevail in the country, the President assured that the Government would give priority to any petitions that will be made in regard to the just concluded General Election.
President Kibaki at the same time asked political leaders to respect the country's institutions, noting these institutions have been the pillars of the country's progress and stability over the years.
The meeting was also attended by Anglican Archbishop Benjamin Nzimbi and officials of the National Council of Churches of Kenya led by the General Secretary Canon Peter Karanja and Chairman Eliud Wabukala.
