The Minister for Kampala Capital City and Metropolitan Affairs, Hajjat Minsa Kabanda issued a directive ordering all street vendors, taxi drivers and boda boda riders operating without designated stages to vacate the streets of Kampala with immediate effect. She warns that anyone who fails to comply with the directive will be arrested and charged in courts of law.
“Our priority is to guide traders into safer, cleaner and better organized spaces that support sustainable business as we work together to build a more orderly and inclusive Kampala.” Kabanda Said.
