Kilimanjaro Airports Development Company limited (KADCO) is a private company that manages Kilimanjaro International Airport and its estate. The company requires the services of suitably qualified Tanzanians to fill the following vacancies;
1. SECURITY OFFICERS (10 POSTS)
QULIFICATIONS:
- Holder of certificate / diploma in law, Public Administration, Sociology and Education or any other related qualification from a recognized institution.
- Computer literate
- Fluency in both oral and written English/ Swahili. Knowledge on any other international language will be an added advantage.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to deal with customers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Screening all passengers and luggage entering the premises including clearance through metal detectors, checks packages both visually and by use of X ray equipment.
- Controlling movement of people, vehicles and animals in the protected area
Dealing with emergency services like aircraft emergency, local standby, Aircraft accident, medical and fire emergency.
- Collecting information in respect of insecurity of Civil Aviation, reporting the same to relevant authorities.
2. TELECOMMUNICATION TECHNICIAN (4 POST)
QUALIFICATION:
· Holder of diploma in telecommunication from a recognized institution.
· Computer literate
· Fluency in oral and written English
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing preventive and curative maintenance of all communication and navigation equipment, electronic data processing systems and security equipment at the airport.
- Providing technical advice to airport users on alterations or additions to existing structures.
- Inspecting engineering plants, facilities, building and equipments to ensure they are in good condition.
HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER (1 POST)
QUALIFICATION
- Degree holder of Public Administration, Human Resources Management or any other related qualification from recognized institution
- Computer literate
- Understanding of labour legislation.
- Effective verbal and listening communication skills
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for providing support in the various human resource functions.
- Provide support to supervisors and staff to develop the skills and capabilities of staff.
- Monitors staff performance and attendance activities.
- Coordinate staff recruitment and selection process in order to ensure a timely organized and comprehensive procedure is used to hire staff
- To provide information and assistance to staff, supervisors on human resources and work related issues.
4. AIRPORT OPERATIONS OFFICER (1 POST)
QUALIFICATION:
· Holder of bachelor degree in Arts, Economics, Public/ Business administration from a recognized Institution or equivalent qualifications.
· Certificate of Airport Operation course
· Computer literate
· Marshalling skills
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Coordinate all airport apron and terminal operations to ensure the smooth operation of airport activities
· Ensure the cleanliness of the airport premises and its environment
· Monitor the movement and handling of aircraft, passengers and cargo so as to facilitate them.
· Ensure the mobilization of Airport Management resources in aircraft accident or other emergencies and supervise their performance.
· Ensuring the availability and readiness of apron management services.
5. AIRCRAFT MARSHALLER (1 POST)
QUALIFICATION
· Holder of Advanced Secondary education
· Certificate in Apron Management Course
· Certificate in Basic Airport Operation course
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensuring technical information concerning aircraft parking to airline operators and Air Traffic Controllers are effectively disseminated.
· Directing Pilots in parking aircrafts on the apron
· Recording and reporting to their supervisor on any incident / accident which occur during the parking
· Ensuring there is enough space between one aircraft and another in the parking apron.
6. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICER (1 POST)
QULIFICATION
· Holder of Bachelor degree or advanced diploma in Information Technology or equivalent qualification.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensure firm framework for information flow internally and externally
· Set up and maintain computer network in the office, to ensure smooth operation of the computer, printer, network, email and internet with virus free operation.
· To install and maintain back- up and disaster recovery systems and ensure that they are current and effective
· Ensuring the information is always up to date and reaches the management on time.
· To perform any IT related job that may come from time to time.
· To be responsible for providing technical support to system users.
· Should be able to install, configure and maintain Linux server
EXPERIENCE
All posts mentioned above the experience required is TWO YEARS with exceptional of Security Officers.
