Job Title: Education Manager
Reports to: Zonal Manager , Eastern Zone
Location: Tanga
Purpose of the position:
Provide leadership to the management of the project and ensure that the implementation of the project is in accordance to approved objectives, plans of action, and budgets and document progress.
Observe mission and core values of World Vision and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that is an example to others
Major Responsibilities:
1. Monitor the day-to-day delivery of the education project to maintain or improve quality.
2. Participate in weekly/ monthly program team meetings to ensure delivery is aligned with goals.
3. Facilitate project networking and information sharing among stakeholders.
4. Provide general support to the education sector, through visiting and information sharing,
5. Compiling management reports.
6. In coordination with Program Director, ensure that the online educational program plan meets revenue from approved budget.
7. Ensure quality project monitoring and evaluation by participating in performance monitoring and evaluation of the education project
8. Facilitate capacity building for effective management and implementation of education programs.
Minimum Qualification required:
· Masters Degree in Education, Social Sciences or other discipline relevant to education
Experience:
5 Years of relevant experience in Managing Education programs with reputable institution, local or International NGO
Technical Skills & Abilities
· Good understanding of education concepts and issues in development context especially in Tanzania
· Working knowledge of the logical framework approach to project design, monitoring and evaluation/ project cycle management
· Working knowledge of data analysis software such as SPSS, Ms Excel, strata
· Demonstrated experience and skill in research, analysis and report writing
· Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
· Ability and willingness to travel regularly to field sites
