Ishmael, I find it funny how you claim that non-theist have no basis for their beliefs, yet do not provide me with conclusive evidence of a god. There is no way you are going to claim that "most truths cannot be proven". A truth is, by definition, a verifiable fact. How do you suggest a fact is verified other than it being proven?
And anyway, why should non-theists provide evidence rebutting a god? Surely you must realise that that is an exercise in futility. You cannot prove that something doesn't exist, the only thing that can be proven it that it does. Therefore it is up to the theists to support their claims with evidence, and not the other way around.

Ishmael, I don't know you, and you don't know me, but I do respect you. As much as i don't agree with your ideas, i have to say that your passion is inspired. We could trade words for days and neither one of us will have changed their stance. I, therefore, suggest we agree to disagree so as we don't resort to petty insults as i've seen happen in this very thread.

FYI: God self-exists. This means that God exists without beginning in time as the uncaused prime cause of all things that exist contingently (having a beginning to their existence).
This does not mean God is self-created. Self creation is irrational. Something would have to exist before it exists to self-create.
You need to remember that Self-existence is rationally NECESSARY and not optional, since something exists, rather than nothing.
Why? Because if absolute nothing existed, what would exist now? That's right - nothing. Nothingness cannot cause something to begin existence. Yet, something exists now. Therefore something necessarily always existed (eternally) as the causal prime of all things that begin to exist.
Most atheists ask, well why can't the Universe be that self-existent something? The short answer is that the Universe began to exist, so it cannot possibly have existed eternally in the past.
