I don't know where you were during 2007/2008 PEV but I was in kenya for part of it...this is exactly how it started. I started receiving the chain emails (I still have some of them) a few months before and there were several blogs and forums peddling in this kind of talk...eti wakikuyu wako hivi..wamefanya vile..wanataka kutufanya hivi etc etc (they were not talking about individuals but wakikuyu, same as Kabaridi's OP). to our eternal shame, most of us kept quiet cos we thought ni ile propaganda ya kawaida tu, itaisha after uchaguzi na tutaendelea kama kawaida....well, we all saw what it resulted in. Now you're saying we should take it easy when we see the exact same thing happening again...I dont know how true this is but there are already reports of leaflets being passed around in RV, damn right we should get worked up! Most Kenyans are not safely ensconced in foreign countries and they are the ones who'll bear the brunt of this careless politicking.

Most of these guys have well documented blots of corruption /money laundering schemes within their time in administration laced on their profiles. Mudavadi-Tuju-Peter-Kenneth alliance, is housing/shielding conniving elements like cyrus jirongo, yet as kenyans, I am shocked we are distracted on these tribal cum ethnicity struggles maneno.
Kalonzo was on record being on the fore-front fighting against the Hague phenomena with an unwavering and energetic shuttle diplomacy to the international community to defer the cases from the Hague to a local tribunal. Today, he is in the first line of attack condemning the Hague bound duo. Mkuu, mswahili husema aliye na macho haambiwi tazama! Most of these candidates do not have anything to offer to Kenyans as gullible as they are but intent on maintaining and extending their free get-rich-quick schemes. On a mission to start where they left.

I do not think that this view of tribalism when one is severly critical of a candidate is shared by most kenyans and I term them as self-righteous perceptions. nways, people are entitled to their own opinions. It is these highly compressed ideas that have been known overtime to erupt negatively. If our english serves us right, we know what hate speech is, we know what tribalism is internationally, but events unfolding in kenya are redefining these terms. An instance of hate speech, is simmilar to when a cabinet minister in zimbabwe openely suggested in the full glare of the public media that Mugabe must to die, yet you will find nothing simmilar of that nature in these posts. Yet I don't admire mugabe with all that blot and what he stands for.
in the use US of A, there are forums where these things are openely discussed, without participants labelling the other hate mongers or tribalists yet in kenya it is difficult to put across such issues even on a fora (forget clinging at post number 1). Definately all and I mean all Kenyans must change their perception about this.
let's just clarify one thing here, AGAIN. There is nothing wrong with supporting or not supporting any candidate and there is nothing wrong with criticising any or all of them. Doing that does not make you a tribalist. When your criticising is couched in the terms you started with, i.e. this community is like this or are doing/have done that and, therefore, we shouldn't vote for a candidate who happens to be from that community....then that IS tribalism no matter how you try to spin it.
As for the rest of your stuff...it's funny how Raila is both a "puppet" of the west and a radical Muslim communist :lol:
P.S. You can talk all you want about sovereignty and freedom in our relationship with the west but as long as your mouth is still stuck firmly on their tit, then you really have no leg to stand on.
