Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences(MUHAS) is inviting applications froms suitablyqualified Tanzanians to be considered for employment to fill vacant posts as illustratedh hereinbelow;

ACCOUNTANT II - 4 POSTS

Required Qualification
Holder of First Degree/Advanced Diploma in Accountancy or BAF plus ICT skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of accounting tasks including receiving and paying out cash and cheques.
• Maintain accurate accounts records.
• Prepare trial balance.
• Check the correctness of claims and retirements ensuring that they are supported by appropriate authority/evidence.
• Act as custodian of accountable documents.
• Prepare monthly trial balance and bank reconciliation statements.
• Prepare monthly salaries and related returns.
• Maintain debtors and creditors records.
• Prepare financial statements.
• Check accuracy of payment vouchers
• Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by one’s reporting officer.
• Prior knowledge of using Epicor Accounting software is an added advantage

DURATION: Six (6) month Contract

• Certificates from foreign Countries should be verified by Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) – {Degree Level} or National Accreditation Council for Technical Education (NACTE) – {Diploma Level} or National Examination Council of Tanzania (NECTA) – {Secondary Education}.
• Applicants must consider that their Colleges/Universities are recognized and registered by Government Authorities.
