📍 Ethiopia becomes the fourth country after China, Algeria and Iran to acquire Russian Su-35 ++ fighter jets. Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed announced that Ethiopia has secured 12 aircraft, reportedly twelve months ahead of schedule. Ethiopia is also preparing to acquire four Russian S-400 air defence batteries. The combined acquisitions are estimated to cost $5–6 billion. Egypt had previously ordered 26 Su-35s, but the deal was cancelled amid US pressure.
📍 Tigray'a General Reportedly Breaks the Siege. General Abraha Tesfaye, known as “Dinkul,” has reportedly broken through the siege imposed by Ethiopian government forces. He is highly experienced general and sources say the area where he is now operating is familiar to him from his childhood.

Sudan’s Deputy Foreign Minister accused Ethiopia of supporting Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF) with weapons, personnel, soldiers and logistical assistance for travel. He warned that Sudan reserves the right to respond under international law, accusing Ethiopia of violating its obligations.
