The ministry of Hajj, Saudi Arabia will soon be asking all the pilgrims visiting the kingdom to wear electronic bracelets, which will contain important information.
The government is done with the homework and now about to launch the scheme, once higher authorities approve the project, the ministry of Hajj will implement it.
The new e-bracelet has a lot of features including the fact that it is waterproof. It is mandatory for every pilgrim to wear it throughout the days of practice.
The bracelet will have special barcodes, which carries all the information like the address of residence in the country, medical records of each pilgrim etc. The security can obtain all the information of any pilgrim by scanning the barcode.
The bracelet will also provide special services to the pilgrims and it has GPS installed in it.
The services include prayer timings, a compass which will show the direction to the Holy Kaaba and the ways and supplications of Hajj and Ummrah.
There will be a special contact desk, which will be in different languages to help people during their stay in Makkah.
This electronic bracelet will be very useful to the government of Saudi Arabia to collect stats and information of all the people visiting or performing Hajj and Ummrah and it will also serve the pilgrims with its services.
A private company in Saudi Arabia has started an e-bracelet service whose main feature is to locate pilgrims in case of emergency.
Millions of people visit Saudi Arabia to perform their religious duty, it is difficult to store and keep information regarding every pilgrim, and this e-bracelet can be a technological revolution which will help the government of Saudi Arabia to keep a check on all the activities of the pilgrims.
Saudi Arabia is now facing threats especially after its participation in/leading the attack on Yemeni rebels, the country's border with Yemen is too sensitive and Hajj and Ummrah can be used as an easy target to hit the Saudi government.
This e-bracelet can be very useful in tackling any act of planned terrorist activity.
