European multinational firm leader in global telecommunication solutions is seeking a Site Technical Engineer based in Dar Es Salaam.
Applicant must hold relevant degree with telecommunication and IT experience of at least 12 months or must have a minimum of two years experience working in a similar role. Excellent spoken and written English skills is a prerequisite for applying to this job.
Hands on expertise on data and voice networks as the job involves providing data & voice services over the existent network. The successful candidate must possess good understanding of network structures and core principles. Along with these, good planning skills are essential in order to be able to carry out work with minimal or zero down time to the network users.
Remote and on-site support for existing telephony and telecommunication systems. This will also include end user interaction and hands on activities (such as deploying cabling infrastructure where necessary).
Responding to customer technical issues in a timely manner via telephone, email and physical on site interventions to ensure SLA are met. Strong problem solving techniques to resolve customer issues and needs. Documenting issues and resolution procedures to our knowledge base. Escalating issues where necessary.
