China executes Briton for drug smuggling

Akmal Shaikh, 53, a father-of-three from London, was executed in China after being convicted of drug smuggling despite claims he was mentally ill.
Mr Shaikh's execution by lethal injection took place despite repeated calls from his family and the British government for clemency.

My take: Pamoja na kelele za kuwa huyu jamaa alikuwa na upungufu wa akili ila China wamemtimizia haki yake ya kisheria ya China kwa watu wanaokamatwa na madawa ya kulevya. Hivi na sisi TZ tungekuwa na sheria kama hizi hasa kwa upande wa Rushwa si tungekuwa tumepiga hatua kimaendeleo?
