Job Description:
The Accountant in will play a critical role in planning and managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close and reporting process of the company's operations.In this role, you will have the opportunity to interact with various cross-functional departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical accounting guidance and support to functional unit partners.
Lead monthly and quarterly close processes, including preparation, review and analysis of financial statement packages and account reconciliations for compliance.
Participate in performing accounting research, updating policy, and analyzing emerging pronouncements.
Prepare/review process documentations.
Identify and implement process improvements as part of Continuous Improvement initiatives
Provide information to support the Company's quarterly and annual filings, including the preparation of certain financial statement footnotes
Provide support to internal and external audit activities including preparation of audit schedules.
Provide oversight, coaching and supervisory support for staff team members.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate Accounting degree
Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience
Strong understanding of GAAP,IFRS and financial statements
Strong leadership, analytical, and project management skills
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and self-manage workload
Ability to take ownership of issues and ensure timely resolution
Ability to work on cross functional activities and form solid business relationships across functions
Flexible, adaptable, and proactive
Ability to influence and drive change
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
Desired Qualifications:
CPA certification - (Added advantage)
Solid SAP or ERP systems and process experience preferred
Close process improvement experience
