iPhone Air is a smartphone developed and marketed by Apple Inc. It is the nineteenth-generation iPhone. The device was announced alongside the lower-priced iPhone 17 and the higher-priced iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max during the Apple Event at Apple Park in Cupertino, California, on September 9, 2025. Replacing the Plus series, the iPhone Air introduces a rebranded option with a focus on lightweight design and enhanced features. Also announced were the C1X modem and N1 networking chips. With a depth of 0.22 inches (5.64 mm), it is the thinnest iPhone ever produced, surpassing the 0.27 inch (6.9 mm) iPhone 6. The iPhone Air is expected to start at $999.
